I've been an Alliance player since Burning Crusade, but my first characters ever created back in vanilla WoW were Horde. The Warbringer shorts and this cinematic are making me feel some real love for the Horde I remember. I may just have to log in and make an orc warrior, for Saurfang.

How many times do I have to post about us all stopping these real life comparisons. Goddamn. This is a fantasy game! I am not a Nazi because I play Horde. We already got hit with the villain stick and over half of the Horde population is feeling pretty bad about it and a ton are going to be rolling Alliance in BfA. I am going to remain loyal to my Horde and that means I am going to have to try and embrace my villain role for the time being. I don't need to be compared to Nazi's or Japanese Kamakaze's or when the US dropping nukes during WWII. There was a full fledged debate over child murder in the Sylvanas Warbringer post. This is ridiculous. A post I just painstakingly tried to interpret is now comparing the US to the all of the Horde's atrocities. So I am an American who plays Horde. Basically a goddamn Nazi....we have got to stop with this real life stuff guys. take your WWII debate and fact checking to some other forum. We are talking about a triple undead elf burning a magic tree and how that has effected the conscience of a big green orc....
Sadly I'm pretty sure that troll boi is the one that Aundin face smashes in the BfA trailer. As for the forsaken, remember the only reason the forsaken aren't an Alliance race is because the Alliance denied their basic humanity had all the ambassadors killed. So...
Oh .. that was good. Nice job Blizz! And I'd kill to have that pendant as a keychain or the like (if it was well made). Maybe should have been part of the CE instead of that slightly awkward large disc. Thumbs up!
Can we please have a third faction now? The Saurfang Horde!
Now Dis be the horde, I signed up for. Fight for ya honor, fight for da respect ya deserve. killing with no meaning, but hatred for living. Give da horde a true war chief. one dat day deserve! For De horde, For De spirits, and for Mi brothers and sisters!
This is very good. Sadly we still have to go through another Evil Warchief storyline. They rebooted Mists of Pandaria with a female Garrosh. And the thing is I LIKE Sylvannas! At least I used to. She would have made a good Anti-hero Warchief. Now instead we have Jesus leading the Alliance, and Satan leading the Horde. But don't worry! All we have to do is wait for Saurfang to lead a rebellion against Sylvannas!Sigh... I'm just bitter...
honestly, if we don't get Thrall back as Warchief, then we better get Saurfang..........seriously, Sylvanas just did the equivalent of Napalm Bombing an innocent city, all it'd take is her dropping the WoW equivalent of a Nuke on something, and she's gonna be deader than Garrosh
I wish they would split the horde up into two factions, one carebear 'for honour' rag tag team of good guys lead by Saurfang, and one 'do or die' / no bull&*!@ cut throat one lead by the Dark Lady. From my perspective, Saurfang is pathetic right now, he disobeyed his Warchief, he let a powerful enemy combatant live, and has started taking on weak pacifist traits - he deserves to be executed at the very least, but Blizzard won't do it because he's "one of the good guys" *eye roll*I think it's really in everyone's best interests for a 3 faction Warcraft, for once The Horde are lead by a decisive and impudent leader who knows how to get @#$% done, and half of 'the horde' players are now crying like Saurfang... I really don't want to be associated w/ these guys, I stand by the Dark Lady and her actions (though I think she should have gone further, raising more forsaken for the cause). For the Dark Lady!
The idea is raising conflict within the Horde before Sylvanas meets her end, 6 minute CGI cinematic is for nothing ;). There might be three sides during part of the expansion, which is interesting until the new threat shows its face.
What if Sylvanas is deeply a peacekeeper? What if Sylvanas realizes that the only time horde and alliance can be at peace is when there is a common enemy? What if she is being a murderer only to unite both forces against her to keep peace? It worked back in SoO and she knows it! She is the real peacemaker!
This is an example of beautiful storytelling. Not even a fight happening, just talking, great framing, story, lore, characters, and reasoning behind their actions. Great job to the team that made it.At the same time, sorry, but this is also an example of how little thought was put into this thorn war story arc. No idea why anyone did anything, random choices, everyone unhappy NOT at the tree being burned (OK, some specific about that too!) but more about... why did it happen and where was the thought. And I don't mean style choices (stop-motion vs full cinematic) I just mean story telling. The wowhead post may tell us the lore from the "other" sources (novels etc) but that should all have been in game. Considering the story took 15, maybe 20 minutes for an entire week, I think they could have fit it in.Also wowhead....
