? $60 per keycap? am I reading this right?
70€ ICANT
Haha, great price. Lets see how many of these you sell (if anything LOL, even whales might think twice in this case kek)
You can probably custom order these for $30 on Esty
I love how there's so many comments &*!@#ing about these being the price they are, when...this is a tiny bit expensive (maybe like 10-20 bucks more than it should be), but is generally close to the typical artisan keycap price range, and they're probably a bit more expensive than comparable artisans because it's Blizzard commissioning Clackeys to make them for them, which includes hidden prices in other areas along the distribution chain (meetings to propose the collab, supply-and-delivery systems for people to order from Blizzard and then have the order sent to Clackeys, some marketing, some extra cost for Blizzard to "make it worth doing this" for themselves, as dumb as that sounds etc).Like, I think artisan keycaps are neat, and back when I hadn't settled on a more or less endgame keyboard (which is what I currently use), I was looking around at a lot of artisans, considering potentially getting one just 'cause I thought they were neat, but I didn't. Artisan keycaps as an industry is an omega niche market, only meant for "enthusiasts". They provide 0 usability (and, in fact, are more uncomfortable than normal keycaps and deliberately meant to be used on keys you don't press often) and are a pain in the ass to actually make (especially when hand-cast) considering how little actual utility and use they have (which is, uhh, absolutely zero, because they are 100% a vanity item through and through). I'd say I'm surprised Blizzard decided to release something this niche in the first place...but they will 100% be guaranteed to sell through all these. WoW still has orders of magnitude more absolute franchise diehards than they will ever make of these caps. Also, you can definitely just go find something comparable on Etsy or something, from sellers that do the work for much smaller profit margins (as they're individuals, and individuals are always kinder than big companies).
"Oh that's cute. What are they like $10? I might get one--"I'm sorry $60 PER! For a KEYCAP!
$60.....WTF!
60?$?$ Yeah no thanks.
Do people really use things like this? They seem really uncomfortable to use. The horde chest has spikes on the sides. I'll stick with my regular keyboard
April fools joke?
At that price point they better have some actual treasure in there. Too bad stupid people will still buy that scam
