Isn't this the third time that art has leaked on the gear store before the announcement? It happened with Sombra in 2016, it happened with Alexstrasza + Hanzo in Heroes in 2017, and now apparently it's happened with WoW Shadowlands and Overwatch 2. The Sombra and Alexstrasza/Hanzo ones were a few hours before BlizzCon started, but this is a few days before. You'd think they'd eventually learn.
Initially I couldn't understand why it need a version 2. But if it's for the pve expansion (thus deeper immersive experience of the world and characters) then I'm fully on board.I just hope it doesn't feel sour with all the money put into OW for cosmetics. Oh and a new logo seems dumb.
Playing fortnite? No? Well, me neither. But I think the Overwatch could be something like Fortnite Chapter 2. Like a mini reboot but continuation of the game.Overwatch is the game I adore (characters, art, logo,) but I never played it and probably will never play it. I simply don't enjoy PVP aspect. Chapter 2 (or whatever it will be) adding PVE elements might be a something ground breaking that bring users backs and it make sense for expanding the game universe. If you advertise it as Overwatch 2, lots of fans would be upset for losing lots of stuff earned. If you advertise it as expansion, people that miss the announcement might still think its still PVP only game. And there is still a possibility of World of Overwatch...or what was it called - Titan? If you guys ever played Warframe, then you have an idea how it grew from small F2P game into gigantic world full of things to do. Adding PVE co-op gameplay in instanced areas for Chapter 2, adding cities and hubs in Chapter 3, adding more world or more elements in chapter 4, etc etc etc could as well be the Titan the original creators wanted to make.Right now its all speculation so I thought I add my 2 cents to it.
Reinhart going all in with that Deckard Cain beard. :P
