See this wouldn't bother me if we had the MT around for a longer while, or indeed permanently. But we don't. And so, it does.
Actually hilarious to see people complaining that a BUG and stats/heal exploit is getting FIXED (not nerfed) lmao. Every single spec has seen players complete the Mage Tower. It's SUPPOSED to be hard. Go in your class discord and listen to tips. I agree that some are just overtuned, but I hope they keep all the challenges hard and something that a very casual/less good player can't complete.
Keep the mage tower difficult. Play better people. Some nerfs for super overtuned stuff, but difficult. Every spec has been completed, level out the difficulty curve and leave it.
Farming specific gear to beat a challenge is a pretty well established route to success in MMO's. In any case it's a clown move - the community thinks the challenges are too hard, blizzard nerfs...the gear. Wow.
Classic Blizzard strikes again.
This must be a joke.
Just when you think it's impossible for them to look even more out of touch with the general player base. I'm almost impressed.
The deeper problem here is how Blizzard does scaling:Compare to FinalFantasy where you and everything you have is just brought down to the appropriate level. End of list.Where the Blizzard equivalent, timewalking; is an endgame character with full endgame abilities and talents scaled down but weirdly not in ability access, then scaled up to make up for it in some places, then buffed with 9 expansions of borrowed power which may or may not apply (you have to do research online to find out!), then the borrowed power is nerfed but then sometimes not, then the scaling may or may not be ok leaving some legacy items way overpowered where others are completely useless and some are straight out bugged, while only some gear can get enchantments and gems, and others can't... and remember, like the McRib it's only here for a limited time! All that said, I'm glad it's back, but they really need to figure out basic content scaling like every one of their competitors did a long time ago.
Thanks for not fixing the actual issues blizz
I gotta laugh, 'cuz almost all the negative comments, come from people who didn't learn even the basics, yet I would put my hand in fire — bet, they believe they know it all.Tell you what. A guildie today, couldn't surpass phase 1 of his encounter he assured me he learned it all and the boss was just bugged and one-shoting him randomly and what not.Me as a true talented veteran, who did most of the challenges on its original release month (as non raider, and yes that was mega precision requiring work — except resto druid lol), told him "stream it for me".And so he did.Call me a magician, but ~~somehow~~ by a miracle on his 2nd pull of me watching and advising him (after his 1st one), he MIRACOULOUSLY got to phase 3 of Xylem.Magic, right? So I left him there and wrote for him very specific and detailed instructions with what to do, and told him he cannot do a single mistake. Not 1, not 2, 0 mistakes.2 hours later, even with him being not the fastest learner, he got the challenge done. So, sweethearts, I myself have done most of the other challenges, Agatha is left.My advice to you, if you want the xmog, is to cut the crying part, find yourselves some proper very detailed videos, even from legion. You know, the ones that tell you even the small things, the really small things that 99.9 of the "best" YouTube videos, totally omit to share. And then hit it.AdiosEDIT: And buy yourselves proper gear, enchants and consumables, this was never a cheap endeavor. Not now, not even back then on its release.
Is this an out of season, April Fool's joke?
Blizzard really is the "NO FUN ALLOWED" company huh? No wonder the game's in such a dismal state
Pretty soon all the "Git gud" players like:
I like how quick they are to make things more difficult but take their sweet time to make things more manageable when we only have a couple weeks to do this content. GG. Amazing that they decided to buff the dumb hard fights from the ptr on launch.
People are clearing the tower. It takes effort, but they're doing it. They're literally challenge modes, if you then make it a joke for the folks that literally just drool on the keyboard, then the point of the thing is kinda defeated.
The title is misleading
I have over 300 attempts now in the mage tower as a guardian. You now want to make a class that you gave a lovely addition to but snuffed the warriors on it that much harder? If you wanted to give up your company brand so badly just shut down all the servers and stop doing this. It's one thing to give the players a challenge. But not at the extent that some of us are going. I've done NOTHING but the mage tower since Tuesday's reset. I never got my werebears when Legion was current cause I came back too late. I want my Felbear. But not at the expense of my sanity, paitence, time, money, and blood and sweat that I have already pounded both into my keyboard and in game. You're pushing this way too out of line. I sincerely hope you have a miracle up your sleeve Blizzard. Otherwise your glorious game that people defend with their dying breaths will stop. You already messed up with Shadowlands, your QOL content wasn't enough to bring those back who you lost. Not permantly anyway. And this. I'm ranting because I care enough and have been playing WoW for half of my life now. And I'm at the point where someone needs to shove y'all into a gaming chair for once so you can actually talk to the players 1v1 and not just sit and read GM tickets (Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk. Im going to sleep after 18 hours grinding the mage tower -_-).
