These weapons are probably fruit of new Darnassus, we may get them as reward for helping Tyrande planting/defending the given seed after a questline.
Art team is usually well ahead of what we'd see in terms of gameplay so I expect we're starting to see 10.1 and later stuff now. Wonder how we'll get there.
This is amazing. Hoping we see the new Darnassus this expansion maybe some how be part of rebuilding it... It does sound like it's going be several years after the events of shadowlands.
I'm getting this ugly feeling that Merithra might be the one making the "Great Sacrifice" ..... I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
I feel like this expansion would simply not work without these Elune additions. Elune is needed if we want to create aspects the traditional way since it hasn't been 430 years since Kalecgos became an aspect. I simply chalk it up to a tie-in that ends with Elune shifting the two moons around. Bare minimum we need a new Earthwarder and, story resolutions pending, possibly a new Dreamer and Guardian of Time.
Well so much to leaving the universe and galaxy stuff behind to focus only on Azeroth. Im gonna foreshadow the future. Season 4 of DF we will travel somewhere out in space again. And meet with some kind of avatar of Elune. Because they will run out of ideas to make content on azeroth.
Maybe these weapons will be given to Ysera's daughter to become an approved, new aspect? Would be nice that new characters to have something connected to the old ones. But that's only funny idea :D
I hope it’s not a choice between the elven souls and Ysera’s. That would be pretty messed up given they had a choice to stay in Ardenweald and live happily ever after and they decided instead to help their living brethren by likely creating a new world tree. It will probably be something Elune related, maybe it would cost severing Tyrande’s connection. Given that Elune and the Winter Queen are sisters and Ardenweald was suffering quite a bit, maybe WQ will ask a big price of Elune to release Ysera’s soul since she’s bound to that realm?
Hey there,Sorry to say but this article was not well researched before. A few fundementally wrong asumptions have been made and I'd like to correct them as they might change the perspective a bit:1. Tyrande did not give up the power of the Night Warrior. In fact there even is a talk between Tyrande and Shandris after the Ardenweald questline where Elune intervened where Tyrande specifically says she continues to wear the power but without the rage.(You can still look it up ingame as the NPCs shoudl boths till stay there and offer the dialog window. At least I have a Screenshot for it here)2. The Winterqueen did not offer her the choice between redemption and vengence.Elune herself offered her to chose between RENEWAL (the big theme here) and VENGENCE. And by renewal the whole of Ardenweald and all its souls were on stake as the seal that powered the big tree was stolen. 3. There is literally no evidence or even hint that the "great sacrifice" is in any terms related to NIght Elf souls. As the story about these souls has been closed by a reference to the WC3 ending. The souls were used to "power" the seed for the new World Tree, which either means they are becoming part of the new tree or might be reborn in a way as it suites the theme of death and rebirth of Ardenweald.4. We allready know that there will be a time travel event where the war of the sands is happening. Which means this is an opportunity for Ysera to show up as her past self fighting alongside the Nightelves in Silithus.I think these are fundamentally important details which are not correctly displayed here.
I really hope that weapon (or recolours/similar) are obtainable by players, it seems gorgeous!
interesting.
11.0 - We're going to the Moooon!
Guess Azeroth got a James Webb Telescope too.
As Talime has observed, this post is not well researched. It is sad that the author has not made any speculation about a very super rare Celestial Event called THE EMBRACE. Back when the 5 Dragons were raised to be the Aspects, there was the Embrace. Again, the Embrace happened raising Kalecgos to become an Aspect. As of events happening during Before the Storm, 5 years had passed since that Embrace. Elune is not a Moon Goddess only for Azeroth. This was confirmed in Shadowlands. Elune acts as a Moon Goddess on countless worlds through a local moon of the respective world. While the Night elf story line may or may not continue as a major sub-plot, Elune's arc is more than the Night elf arc. There are so many things that point the entire Dragon Isles to Elune's plot directly. However, at this point, it would all be just wild speculation rather than the actual plot. Regardless, given how the Disc that tells about how the Aspects regain their power is lost in the Uldaman Dungeon, we can safely say that it is very possible to witness another Embrace on the sky. The author might want to check a previous wowhead post in connection to the Embrace Event. https://ptr.cuckhead.com/news/exploring-space-and-time-with-antumbra-shadow-of-the-cosmos-in-sepulcher-of-the-325812?webhook
as 2 people already said it don't seem like the Author did any research what so ever nothing about the Embrace Tyrande didn't give up the power what so ever Nothing has been hinted at saying there would be a " Great Sacrifice" nothing in the Alpha or even the Datamined stuff
what if elune is a white dragon part of the white dragon flight or some crazy stuff like that down the road ?
