They might as well bring back talents in general and mask them as Soulbinds or Artifacts again and make it so that as you progress, you unlock every level via artifact power or anima again, but can still swap out certain tiers like with the current "talent" system at those specific points that matter. Add some other trees that progress at the same time for everything from battle pets to old content to whatever that are progressed whenever you gain experience or end level resource upgrades and this is a solid idea. As is though? To Blizzard this looks like "going backward" and they're a bit too prideful to admit some systems worked better; see the current issue of the old Mythic+ chest and the Great Vault versus just having badges or points.
I'd be happy if one of the tiers in this fantasy of things blizzard will never do said "legacy currencies are no longer part of the raid's loot tables" so you never got ripped off and got nothing but, say, wakened essence from a boss kill again.

I would absolutely love this. I spend a lot of time running old raids for all sorts of things. I can understand the transmog been a little broke, but a lot of the other suggestions are really good quality of life implementations for this sort of content.Earning an “experience” almost like prestige at max level to go towards this tree would be great. You could take it one step further and add currency to the bosses that drop mounts (similar to ff14) meaning after Say 100 runs you can simply buy the mount if you don’t already have it (or a specific piece of armor if people are chasing a transmog set). There’s so much more they could do for legacy content to keep it interesting for this farming. I really hope blizzard see the popularity of this.
I really like the concept, though I agree with others saying they don't see why this would be a talent tree.I mean, it could work, but also attaching some of these effects to toys, or enchantments, etc, would also work fine.Specifically the problem I see is that some of these effects could be so good as to feel almost necessary, especially the tmog one, so locking that behind a talent tree feels kinda icky. That said: A limited tp to the inside of a raid? A movement buff? A few limited extra rolls? I'd kill to have these things, no matter what form they came in.
Don't like this at all. We already do more dmg in legacy raids. Limiting it to these numbers isn't a good idea.the loot everything and be able to wear it is meh
Jokes aside, I really think Blizzard should care more about old content. WoW is over 15 years old, and there are so many old raids being farmed for mounts, pets or tmogs that it is a large part of the game. Yet you still experience bugs, visual glitches (mostly BC content) and bad scaling (mostly WotLK and BfA content). Not to mention the legacy loot rules changes and abysmal droprates for some items.
I love the idea of this but I don't want this exact version of it.I don't like the idea of getting all tmogs on any character, some of it is supposed to be a grind and take a while. Its not fun to get spoonfed. A work around, not sure how, can be interesting but just out right giving any tmog drops is not ideal. Especially for content you cannot solo since it just gets less and less attractive to pug then.Extra bag is especially nice. Would love that, and teleport to raid. I do like the rest, although I would say to implement re-rolls you have to buy instead of getting for free. To give you more incentive to stick around and finish a run in order to make the money back.
It were useful if there would be a talent something like "key-master" that unlocks various portals in legacy raids (for example in Ulduar or ICC) or if not portals but opens the locked gates behind bosses to get access specific bosses or boss packs (like Khadgar's port works in Hellfire Citadel). That way the player can target bosses want to kill and don't have to clear the way to them.
I too like to browse r/wow
I think the transmog master might be a bit over the top, perhaps transmog master being usable on a specific number of bosses rather than all.
Might as well sent people all gold and items in the mail each week. Once that stuff is unlocked they will demand more. It's a neverending cycle. You can already tune your gear and char enough to improve the farming.
Gotta have something to talk about when you're in the worst expansion ever.
That transmog master idea is the best thing I've ever heard
