Amazing
The fact that this is even possible is pretty amazing. Good job!

I don't see the difference. So I can't comment on what changes I like better. And no i'm not going to bother arguing with you about what I see, which I see the comment section is doing with someone else over their opinion.
The Wrath of the Lich King cinematic link you have is for the original, not the 8k version. Here's the 8k version:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwmvwTopbas
I can see differences but it seems a bit subtler than the Lich King cinematic posted recently. Maybe it's the color palette making it seem not quite as sharp...I mean, all the blues and white are sharper contrasts, at least to my mind.
it's nothing but putted photoshop's filters on video with sharping, lightinng edges, etc, now that adnvaced coding and computer hardware allow it
Just looks like something that was filtered slightly. Don't see a difference in quality.
Maybe with this video, the creators of World of Warcraft remember that the High Elves exist, and can add like allied race for the alliance. Is some related with the topic.
They are!
Pretty much the same as applying an unsharp mask filter to a blurry image in Photoshop.
Oversharpened during some scenes, blurred during scene changes...Up-scaling can only do so much. You're literally making something to fill in the gaps that never existed before. At the end of the day, the scene is marred by old styling of what humans and elves looked like with limited budget/CGI technology. Kinda wish these werent made IMO. It splits an audience over memories we all have personal feelings attached to. That and it looks pretty bad in spots.
8k seems a couple years too early but is the correct thing to do to "future proof" the effort. so i say it was a job well done. 99% of people just won't have the hardware to fully enjoy it imo. but it should theoretically look gorgeous on a 4k tv setup. i'll make sure i watch it on my tv for full enjoyment. anyone watching on their @#$%ty monitors is just wasting their time.
With it being AI and all it just looks bad when there is not enough information for it to come up with good quality "textures" like lowlight scenes and during rapid movement. At least the original one was all uniformly blurry. Doesn't feel like its innovative at all. More like ripping off an existing Blizzard cinematic to get views on youtube.
Back when Blood Elves were unique, when they had to deal with arcane and few addiction.
