Lore Q&A, I have a really bad feeling about this.
I know it's what people in the community want but I honestly wish these Q&As weren't dominated by asking for apologies and the same repetitive questions. Does anyone who wants to point out mistakes for an apology during a Q&A actually feel BETTER after the fact? Is anyone like "ah yes, thanks Ion, I feel better now!" or is it just to rub their nose in it? I dunno maybe I am in the minority but I always look forward to these Q&As to get a sense of the direction of the game and for some tidbits to get excited/hyped/optimistic about. Rehashing the same things or rehashing things that went wrong gets really boring after a while.
Only me or surely do these questions seem pre-chosen, so that Ion and the other guy can ignore more critical issues to the game?
"We need to get better at communication" works less well as an answer every time it's given. Show us how you're BEING better at communication. Seriously.
It's stunning how Ion is always talking about technical facts that most of us simply don't care about. They have a lot of stadistics and they look forward efficency, thinking that their data refflects what is best for players. That can only lead to a game without soul. I'm not sure he is interested in reading philosophy, but I would recommend Ion to read "Technology and Science as Ideology" (1968) by Jürgen Habermas, where he explains that when an instrumental logic is used to take decisions, based on statistics and scientific data, the conexion to the mundane reality is lost, along with the details that make the difference, and you aren't able to understand the changes of the enviroment that you're studying.I imagine that there is a percentage of people that are pretty interested about Mythic + and things like that. I am not part of that, as I prefer the social aspect of the game, what made this an alternative world where we had the opportunity to be what we wanted. But I respect those people. Ion and their team can keep develoaping the game in this mechanic direction, priorizing the gameplay over the human aspects. We will be finally leaving, and I'm not complaining in vain like others in the past, we aren't right now doing that. I think that the crossfaction language is a great advance, but it's insufficent compared to the other carencies of the game, to this orientation of take apart guilds in favour of the communities. We are getting old, the young ones don't see this game really factible, because of its price, old graphics, leveling and because fantasy it's not that popular nowadays. It's sad because I have been playing for 11 years right now, more than a decade. And as others, I leave this text to reflect the impotence I feel about the state of the game, because I would want to see it improve, but I'm starting to think that it's impossible.
My group really enjoys M+ a lot, we make sure everyone gets their key done for the week even if some of us have to do six or seven of them, and a few of our players will practically run M+ every day. We're really thankful that dungeons have been made a legitimate, fun endgame thing, and most times an affix has sucked the fun out of a dungeon there's a hotfix the next day. However, I've gotta say that locking my key to Temple (for instance) is not going to make me run Temple, it's just going to convince me to do fewer keys that week. Some of these dungeons have a fun factor that's really low and it's not gonna be fixed by hotfixing a mob or two, it's gonna require a bit more work and attention than that. Rerolling may have been an accidental feature, but it was a really good one, especially for small guilds doing ten to fifteen man raiding. Please bring something like it back or give a lot of attention to the unpopular dungeons, please.
>Why were so many changes undocumented in 8.1?Seriously? When have there ever been detailed patchnotes for WoW?
