One frustrating thing that kinda kills it for me, is that getting gear from the rares is very very RNG dependent. Now, I don't mean what ilvl, I mean that I have had alts get 2 pieces of gear from the rares, while other alts have gotten a piece of gear off every single one.Idk, luck, I guess.Today I logged into my main and ran through the quests and the rares, took maybe 20-30 minutes tops, then I guess I'm done til next week?
Finally ladies and gentlemen. I'm cashing in on my Horde Privilege. See you on the flipside.
My main issue is drop rates on items that are potentially limited availability (toys, mounts, pets...)
The daily "warfront" quests, doesnt reset @ 09.01?If not, do blizzard expect us to shell out 10-12k gold on the AH in order to get the mats / crafted items, we havent turned in yet? That percentage counter, is gonna be @ 40% for a while then...
340 gear is readily available via so many other sources and both factions have access to the same content minus the ONE piece of offset gear available by Warfronts. Go run a mythic or mythic plus you will get better gear hell WQs have been dropping 340 gear since week 1 for me and normal/heroic dungeons can Titanforge just like anything else so WHAT are you crying about?
If you're alliance you get to queue for a scenario in a week.If you're horde, you have 2 weeks before you can do anything there again.
As for the contributions phase for Alliance (or for horde next time), I just cant see contributing, unless i just happened to have a surplus of mats that wont sell on the AH, or im really close to a rep or azerite level up. Lets fast forward a month or two from now, all mains are exalted with the rep, and have all the azerite we need (maybe), what incentive do we have to keep contributing? Right now i suspect the Alliance have close to zero motivation and incentive to contribute. The only motivation being that that would get to do the scenario and get some fresh loot that they havent had access to.But as far as this being an expansion defining feature, I dont know. I am trying to hold out, Blizzard always loses me around 3 weeks in to an expansion, as i run out of things to do, the only time that didnt happen was in BC, but even beta testing lich king didnt keep my interest, i quit a few weeks after it came out and came back shortly after they released Naxx, but I was way behind the rest of my guild who had stayed and tried to make it better. So, my plan right now is to stick it out, and see what happens.
24 hours later 50% contribution, so Horde enjoy your 8 days left.
So shortly after contributions unlocked alliance side yesterday I checked out the table and saw that it was already up to 52%. I threw down a couple contributions of my own and called it a day. Logged in just now, not quite 24 hours later and....still 52%. Naturally, this brings up many unanswered questions. Does the meter for some reason start at 50 % and the alliance had a spirited burst of contributions and then we fell off (very) sharply? Does progress on that meter only update once every 24 hours, thus why I'm still seeing 52%? If I hit 4 contributions how much is that in the grand scheme of things? Are certain, more expensive, contributions worth more progress than others? Why is there virtually no in-game messaging for what this event even does? Does blizz even know WTF they are doing with this? Are the players unwittingly beta testing a half baked implementation?
Here's my TSM Shopping string for Alliance contributions:
EU Wartime Donations: Enchant Weapon - Stalwart Navigation - 3x Enchant Weapon - Stalwart NavigationUS Wartime Donations: Enchant Ring - Seal of Versatility - 3x Enchant Ring - Seal of VersatilityReally blizzard? we got to spend 3 epic shards for contribution ! thats one quest i will never do .
Unless there are high ilvl drops guaranteed (+350), I'd rather sell my mats on the AH and use the gold how I see fit instead of paying thousands in gold for a 340 piece of gear, maybe. There is really no motivation to do this. Resource contribute amounts are too high. Alliance should just protest and not contribute, make a point to Blizzard that this whole thing needs a re-haul.
Did they nerf the rep with 7th legion?I seem to remember us getting 500 rep pr. turn in, now its 175 rep pr. turn in...
