Best place I have found so far is south Siegehold at 44:30; farming the pair of rares: Rahk'ik and Khak'ik. They are doable as a solo 80 but die quickly in a group of 2-3.

These rares spawn roughly every 1.5 minutes and together they drop 10-13 Nerubian Chitin/Blood. While it may not be the fastest farm, it is mindless and easy.

So far what I tested is the City of Threads follower dungeon, it nets you ~50 venom before 1st boss (boss does not drop venom) in around 7 minutes per run.

I tested both Rahk'ik/Khak'ik and City of Threads follower runs as a 578 frost DK and got the following results:

R/K drop between 10-12 vials (drop 5 or 6 each), I averaged 11.26 vials over 34 kills. Respawn timers ranged from 2:43 high to 1:16 low with an average of 1:46. Using these averages, it would take about 2.62 hours farming them to get 1000 vials.

I got 50-53 vials per run with an average of 51.6 vpr over 10 runs. The fastest took 6:54 and the longest was 7:52, average was 7:28. Using these averages, it would take about 2.41 hours to get 1000 vials.

So technically the CoT runs will probably be slightly faster, but require you to actively play. Farming the rares takes very little effort and can easily be done while focusing on something else. So if you're looking to engage in the farm or if you like dungeons, I'd recommend the CoT runs. Otherwise, if you want to do something else and pop over for 10 seconds every minute or so, do the rare farm.

If someone finds another method that seems lucrative, I will not be testing this as this grind is very long and I will not be doing it more than once.

Fastest way to farm these is to clear the entire area before the first boss in City of Threads (follower dungeon), then leave and repeat.
Once you find out the pathing that works best for you, you can get x53 Nerubian Venoms in 6-7 minutes, so about x500/hour.

Repeat this route 19 times to complete the quest.

Don't even bother killing the boss, unless you want the x10 Valorstones.

Alright, listen up, you anti-social degenerates who’d rather gouge your own eyes out than, God forbid, talk to another human being—here’s how you can get the venom fast, solo.

Head over to /way 44.06, 31.11, take out Khak'ik & Rhak'ik—those two rares respawn right there and usually drop 12 venom. Right after you ice those two, haul your ass into the City of Threads (follower dungeon) and take out the first 6 spiders. Bam, there’s another 6 venom. You gotta be quick though, no screwin’ around.

Now, as soon as you exit, guess what? Khak'ik & Rhak'ik should be back—or just about—so rinse and repeat, my socially-awkward friends.

That’s 18 venom every minute and a half. Now, for you math geniuses out there, 1,000 venom, at a minute and a half per run, that’s a little over two hours of mindless clicking. But hey, at least you didn’t have to team up with anyone and talk, right?
