There are several Arcane Devices in Nazjatar. Each starts a match-3 style game that is pretty RNG dependent, with a different objective for each. Edit: For those not familiar with match-3 style games: click one tile, then click an adjacent tile (up, down, left, or right). The tiles will swap places. If the result causes 3 or more tiles in the same row (horizontal or vertical) to be the same color/shape, they will all be destroyed and tiles will descend from above to replace them.

- Coordinates 37,19: match 4 sky-blue (whitish) runes. In other words, destroy 4 sky-blue runes at once. I couldn't find any in-game instructions regarding what to do, but other posts on this page saved me.

- Coordinates 45,29: match yellow runes until 21 are destroyed. Goal is displayed on mouseover of the Arcane Device and progress is clearly shown while playing.

- Coordinates 59,24: match red runes until 17 are destroyed. Goal is displayed on mouseover of the Arcane Device and progress is clearly shown while playing. The red ones look like Kabuto or maybe a pine cone. Don't bother with the letter Ns, which are supposed to be orange.

- Coordinates 75,48 AND 75,24: Uncross the ley lines to unlock the chest. Goal is displayed on mouseover of the Arcane Device. Each sphere is permanently connected to two lines. If the any line crosses any other line, it is shown as hot pink. If a line doesn't intersect any other, it is displayed as a mixture of purple and white. Your goal is to click one sphere, then click and adjacent sphere to swap them, until every connecting line is purple/white. Imagine you have several rubber bands that are laying in an overlapping, tangled pile. The goal is to separate each rubber band so it lies in its own distinct shape, not touching anything else. It's OK for one shape to be inside another, though.

Random notes and tips:
1. If you want to quit the game, look for a buff called "Arcane Runelock" with the same icon as the mage spell Arcane Blast. Right-click it to exit the puzzle. If the buff icon isn't there, try logging out.
2. If you don't see the runes you need, just match any random runes until what you want shows up.
3. You can use your "turn left" and "turn right" keybinds to change the angle of the puzzle. This is useful if parts of it are hidden by the environment.
4. Patrol mobs that I encountered while playing the minigame didn't pull me out of it. It was like pet battles; I simply didn't encounter them until I left the puzzle.
5. If you have trouble with the uncrossing puzzles, notice how the strings move when you swap pieces. Start in a corner, then try to make a square (or similar shape) by swapping to get other lines out of the way. Random moves are fine at first--just observe and learn. The more white/purple you see, the more you're on the right track!

Since I spent an hour wandering aimlessly, trying to remember how I actually unlocked these rune chest quests on my alt... but couldn't for the life of me remember how to do it on my main.... There's an Arcane chest at /way 75, 24 ... With Silver Knife in it, which starts Strange Silver Knife. A short chain of quests later you'll have em.
