Well rip my Herald of the Titans character :)
Figures Blizz would further destroy any use for the relic system. At this point just freaking take it out and be done with it. There is no reason to hotfix gear on dead content that you are unable to get achievements from. I am further convinced that they have no idea what they are doing.
Can anybody link me some reading to understand what is "legacy set"? Why we need a bonus which is marked "inactive" (like in the original screenshot)?(I mean - this wording existed also before the v9 release, but I never payed attention because it did not interest me - old weak items. And now I want to understand, sorry.)
I agree. Remove and add later as a cosmetic item for the transmog

Go ahead and explain to me the purpose of the relic system now. Other than making it cheaper to list Tmog gear with relic 1's (which literally was never the point of it), the gear isnt good enough to craft for upgrades, as it is literally instantly replaced and heavily nerfed at 50. The last purpose of it was to utilize old set pieces to mix and match, and they are being nerfed from doing well in irrelevant content.

wtb Herald toon gear that isn't getting nerfed into the ground Blizz whyyyyy
Why not just make it like the Legendaries and make them inactive above a certain level so people levelling or twinking can still use the set bonuses?
They should just make them inactive above level 49 and let people use them in Timewalking, Herald, whatever. Come on.
I never understood why they didn't make Legacy set bonus' inactive at a certain level instead of screwing twinks/Herald of the Titans people.Herald of the Titans is a big thing cause I'm in a community that helps people get it for free, as long as they gear a toon to the best of their ability, and this'll just make it so much harder.
This is useless, they already can't be updgraded past ilvl 32, so whats the point?
The Blizzard option - aka the nuclear option. Rather than coming up with a practical way to fix this they just break it outright. Obviously this, and other, set bonuses were never meant to be used at max level or in current content. Blizzard you can fix this and let us eat out cake too by just adding a level restriction to these set bonuses. You've already made consumables obsolete in the past (Legion food buffs) and you're still doing it with BFA consumables such as scrolls and the engie battle rez. If this restriction can be added to these consumables, it can also be added to an old set bonus.
I do believe in Legion they removed legacy tier sets because people were using them in time walking during WoD
