People with interest in this might be displeased, sure... But let's not pretend this is a major backlash. These are normally made when there's more time (between expansions, more likely) and they *will* be made. But their focus is now on releasing further patches with content and story. We had a bulk of customization last time and we will have another later on.
TBH all those people saying that "hey, look, one 3D artist can make a lot on their own, so what's the problem" have probably no idea that making a 3D model isn't everything that has to be done, lol. You need a concept, then make the model, adjust it, make sure the normal maps work properly, somebody has to put it into the game, someone has to test it (how does it look in the game itself, does it clip, etc), then eventually make another iteration(s), so it doesn't take JUST ONE PERSON to suddenly create tons of new customization.Sure, it's cool that some people create fan made models, but this isn't how it works in this industry. Blizzard is a huge company, if something doesn't calculate (like creating 384779 customizaitons for a less played race), then they'd rather spend their time on making the stuff for another patch for example.
its still gonna be shadowlands for at least a year tho, I can't understand how one would feel as if blizzard should think they're done with the customizations we expected for shadowlands
it's so laughable. Fans are more efficient and productive than blizzard and they work with no resources in the midst of a global pandemic
proves some people will just complain and complain... just play the damned game... people always argued GAMEPLAY is more important about GRAPHICS, esp with WoW and suddenly normies grasped at WoW and the gameplay goes out of the window... go RP in FF, there are so many options. we want blizzard $$$ being used at gameplay, not your dumb pixels...
The art team has more important %^&* to do than giving you more pretty pretty princess options.
I mean, the decision to not work on it for the rest of expansion has already been made. So it's going to go one of two ways. 1) It's going to take the community bugging the crap out of them to get them to do it (think along how long last sets of updated models took to get/ how long it took for realm connections to start back up again). 2) It's going to go the route of First Aid (to much work thinking up new ideas lets drop it)/ fixing tab targeting (no tab targeting is not fixed and Blizz just ignores any requests for working on it) and Blizz doesn't even acknowledge it anymore.
In case of Nightborns I think the player males look is more of a design failure. It's even beyond customisation at this point. Maybe they're thinking about remaking them, may explain the lack of additions.I would prefer an overhaul on arcane mage thought.
Sooo... Faction imbalance, class problems, PVP issues... NOPE! We need more customization. C'mon guys, you can do better!
