finally pugs groups are getting worse then ever as a tank. When a ilvl 195 mage with 2k DPS yells at you as a tank you are a piece of *** cause you dont do MDI BUG USE tactics in a random +7 group xD
Surely an exploit no?
Oh, this is so getting fixed.
ok, it's a bug exploit fix it or ban, as you like. Snapping must be considered as game bugs.
This really isn't fair or the way the game is intended to be played (within reasonable means), I think this will be fixed as an exploit.
To all of you who yell that this is an exploit. IMHO this is a clever use of game mechanics.Blizzard will have a hard time fixing this. It is basic mob behavior for many many years. This mechanic was implemented to PREVENT abuse but players have found a way around it.This was put in the game to prevent players from shooting enemies safely from unreachable positions. Normal mobs will *evade* but bosses and dungeon mobs will teleport onto the tank. This is especially true for instanced PvE content.
Hm... mob snapping has been a thing for a long, long time but coupled with Discharge Anima you are essentially negating the key mechanic of that fight.
If you want to liven up your De Other Side group and make sure everyone is on their toes:Step 1: Be a Shaman.Step 2: Summon Earth Elemental right before Broker Xy'exa dies.Step 3: Take Portal back with Rocky still active.Step 4: Watch in horror as all the trash on the way is snapped to Rocky.
Everyone in this comment section that unironically believes that this is getting fixed it just wrong. There was tons of snapping in BFA and they didn't do a single thing about it. Also calling this an exploit is just dumb, you can do half of this pull on the top part of the dungeon anyways if you have one or two knockbacks in the group to get the casters into the pack.
Alright it's a nice snap but... How does the tank survive ? I'd die in 3 seconds with this many mobs, he's not even kiting.
This looks suspicious, then again you can do the same kind of thing in TOP with the lich platforms, you can just FD normally though to drop combat and go back into the rift.
"cool trick" you mean "another cool artificial barrier to entry to high m+"
Mobs teleporting to absolutely unintended locations does not seem like something that should happen or be allowed to happen.
council npcs to nathria's hallway!
