Seriously is there anything you won't complain about? Talk about toxic gamers... i get where the whole media gets this idea.
roflYou all really hate any kind of delay don't you?Week 1 the overwhelming response to Visions was "why can't we run more!" now the sentiment is "Why can't I get this quest done in less runs!" It's an amazing contrast.
Myself im aiming for r12, then stopping. At r12 it gains the final appearance and a damage proc. Its 6 and 8 pages for 10-11. At 12 you to start on a new book. From 13-15 you need to collect 36 pages. Which will take a min of18 runs to complete, if all of them get 2 pages a time. The above is just grind for the sake of grind. A big nope from me.
It's a long grind yes, but I really don't mind the timegating so much as the repetition. If, for example, this week required players to do 1 medium area with 1 mask active to get the upgrade, then next week 2 medium areas with 1 mask, then 2 and 2, and so on, only one run required per week but changing-up the difficulty, that would be much better. Sure you might fail, but you get a bunch of tries and only need to succeed once, and it always changes week to week. Compare that to this week doing 2 medium zones every run, three times in a row.I would also like to see the areas themselves changing every week. One week dwarven district is hard, with the higher sanity drain, and all the monsters are demonic-themed, then the next it's medium and draconic. Also have say 12 mini-events per area, picking 3 of them randomly each week. This week the cathedral zone has a summoning circle to disrupt, next week that same spot will have a small army of fire imps and an imp mother. Much like island expeditions.I feel pretty confident the tower in Shadowlands will have all that variety, it's a major component of the expansion. They just tried to shoehorn something similar into 8.3 without developing all the content and systems to make it sing, and, well, it sucks.
Whats the point of even five chesting lol. It's extra effort thats not needed. Just do the two side zones, get your two pages, rinse and repeat. Minimal effort, minimal time sink.
anyone else just utterly bored by this patch? If your not a min maxer/raider/key pusher, I feel like this whole process is not very enjoyable. The scenario is incredibly boring and repetitive. How did we get a legendary item after a one hour quest line anyways? Would have much preferred something similar to the MoP cloaks. I cherish my cloak during timewalking and my unobtainable title. Not to mention the raid ending is very disappointing. A boss that deserved his own expansion shoved into a half baked "daily island" end of xpac patch(using old zones)kind of pisses me off. I got my daily llama and havent logged in since. The hatchling questline is kind of a joke considering theres like what, 2-3 other recolors of it that are arguably better looking depending on your color preference. Really hoping shadowlands knocks our socks off and we get TBC classic info or(long shot, probably not yet)WoW 2.0 news(we all know its eventually coming even though no one talks about it)
Sick as I am of running visions "with purpose" on a weekly basis, I'm just doing it for the cape tmog and, assuming my burnout doesn't explode by then, the wrathion backpack. Fortunately just three more weeks and I can just forget about it and finally do stuff with my alts. That said, the time gating is getting on my nerves real quick.
Doing that for my alts that kill me...
