normal child
When did this kid arrive in Revendreth anyway? It couldn't have been recently, nobody's been sent anywhere but the Maw for a while. Was he just languishing in a cell until he got assigned to Theotar?
We know from people like Pelagos and Vashj and I think Zul'jin that a person's identity can shape the appearance of their soul in the Shadowlands. It's possible "Bubbins" was an adult goblin in life but never grew out of a childish mindset, so when he died he took on the form he believes himself to be.I don't think that's what they were going for with a Children's Week reference, though.
I do not think bubbins is a child, theotar says young "soul" i just think that means he recently died.
Another thing I'd like to add to the Sylvanas / Maw question: she herself seemed to believe it readily because she considered herself "damned" in being undead. But by now, we know exactly what made her undead in the first place. The Jailer's magic. The touch of the Maw. Whatever you want to call it. If the reason she'd have gone to the Maw would have been her undead state (can't be her deeds at that point, can it?), that would mean that the Jailer's actions would have prevented her from going the "usual" way, Maybe even from being judged by the Arbiter at all.So even if she would have gone to the Maw at that point, this would have happened because of the Jailer's meddling in the "Purpose" (as the Oribos people call it), not because of an unjust system (which is what Sylvanas was lead to believe).
Isn't "Salutations" more of a Gnome thing to say?
Dang it.. And here I was hoping it was a new pet..
Revendreth is for redemption, much as a person stated above as purgatory. You're not condemned but you are atoning for your actions there, once finished (as stated in the story and many quests) - you may serve the Venthyr's cause or go to another covenant as deemed fit to do so. The kid thing may be people looking too deeply into it as more of a play on things just for children's week.
well as per Tenaval when you bring souls from the Maw to Sinfall: "A very good collection of souls. Not too broken, not too drained, and not too innocent." Perhaps we rescued "Bubbins" from the Maw. The Accuser would likely be appraising all these souls for what guidance they need to assign appropriate aid, because I presume a major goal for all the covenants is to gain anima from these souls we bring back, and each covenant has their own methods of maximizing that.
