Ohhh, now the Paladin Night Fae ability is busted, you have complete control over the buffs, and a relatively short cooldown to use them (In theory, you can have all four after a minute casting each Blessing, so it's fantastic :D)
As a paladin main, it's nice to see other covenant abilities being reworked and made more interesting/viable. It may not be "Divine Toll" or lose after all. Also good to see them listening to feedback. Keep up the good work :)
I wonder if the Blessings of Seasons overlap, or if they overwrite one another. Also wondering how they'll work with more than one Night Fae Paladin in the group.
Auras are baaaack!
I wonder if the soul from the Demon Hunter Fodder to the Flame ability triggers the 20% damage buff from Shattered Souls It is a demon soul after all.
Nice, dh have 4 viables covenents while some classes don't even have one, thanks blizzard
@mods : Can you please add the Covenant Signature Abilities to the Souldbind calculator ? thank you and keep up the good work.
interesting change, although if Blizzard hasn't blogged about an ability I'll just presume it's still up in the air primed to be ripped out
It might just be me, but you should NOT have buffs that effect other players as a covenant ability. How is any other ability supposed to compete with it? The new Blessings is better designed than the Aura, but the core issue is still there.
if that goes live then every paladin is going nightfae, just imagine 4 paladins stacking different auras in a raid, seems too good tbh
Instead of nerfing the Nightfae ability. How about they buff/redo the other Covenant abilities to make it more in-line with how good Nightfae is? Just a suggestion if Blizzard is looking at this.
If this maintains to only the party and does not extend to raid groups it's gonna be awfull for paladins to use. The auras themself contradict eachother so much so instead of having 1 paladin buffing the raid group(and that be it so you don't "Require 4 paladins" you require only 1 which is like the same with bloodlust ,dh debuff which is reasonable) you need 4 paladins buffing each group in a mythic environment because aura of summer is great for a dps but awfull for a healers group, you would want to be with 4 dps when you have summer up and with 4 healers when you have Spring up,you want to be with other group(3-4 min cds users) when you have autumn up . So really it either extends to the entire raid group and you make the problem smaller by having it require only 1 paladin or you exxacerbate the issue by keeping it group based in raids and require 4 paladins all going night fae. Buffing someone else is and will always be busted and will be taken unless the buff is legit worthless and then the abillity itself is worthless. This is again a reason to have covenant wide abilties like talents, really blizzard needs to learn that if you try to balance all abbilities in term of hps,dps you make them uninteresting,if you make them interesting akka 1 is better than the other in a different environment then you can't balance it ,that's how it works that's why you let the player be in controll of what abbility to use then , at most you can try to blur the options such as making the aura slightly weaker(so it's not that op in m+) so maybe you take divine toll in there(clearly not the other 2 cause they suck ass currently) but take either kyrian or night fae has it's ups and down in m+ in that case and that is good.I hope blizzard listens to the most important piece of feedback given everywhere and just let us choose our covenant abbility independant of our covenant choice please, god.
So for Night Fae essentially Paladins will have the option to save their ability for a specific need. If we need the 10% boost in healing (or 20% total if I'm reading it right) or damage bonus then we would cycle the abilities to get to what we need and save it or cycle again if we have time(1 minute). The tooltip saying NEARBY party members is interesting as it doesn't indicate a range, but this might be a healer stack mechanic. I am also assuming that if these buffs are that enormous, (10% healing done AND received (so 20% total?)) then that must mean that they are not stackable with other abilities going off at the same time, otherwise there would be a paladin stack which I'm sure is not intended, so don't expect these effects to stack. With this change, I am assuming that Night Fae Paladin is likely going to be reserved for the guild's holy paladin alone. If the abilities do somehow stack, or maybe if a Summer can stack with a Spring, then I would assume all paladins would get it, but I am not expecting that since that would basically force Paladins of any spec to take this for the constant healing or damage boost provided for the raid. So basically don't expect these buffs to stack.
$%^& me im axcited to play my holy paladin in shadowlands. both divine toll and new Ashen Hallow seem pretty cool. Divine toll is just going to be amazing for a healer if you go glimmer. And Ashen hallow seem extremly strong as well, now a solid alternative aoe healing in raiding.
