I think a lot of people are misinterpreting that M+ reward structure. It doesn't punish you for running low keys with your friends at all.First reward: 1 dungeon - lowest of your top 1 runs... which essentially means your BEST run (how it is today)Second reward: 5 dungeons... lowest of your top 5 runs.Third reward: 15 dungeons... lowest of your top 15 runs. So, for example, let's say you did a +15, and then four +2's... you would get one +15 reward, and one +2 reward.... if you didn't run those +2's and only did the +15, you would still only just get one +15 reward. If you wanted to get 3 +15 rewards, you'd have to run +15's 15 times... anything you do beyond those 15 runs has zero effect.
Very unfriendly to alts, but it's not worse than what we currently have. Just a heck of a lot harder to get the additional benefits for those of us who don't single focus one character.
Thank you for pointing that out! I think I completely overlooked those strings.
If this goes live like this i quit this stupid game. This is not what they were talking about when they announced. They were talking alt friendliness and more control over your progression and less rng. This is adding ridiculous amount of grind if you want to have an alt. Even if you play only one character these numbers are just too high, 15 mythic dungeons? Thats like 8 hours play only to have an extra choice. Dont get confused by this BS, its not an extra item just an extra choice. This is not what we want and this is not what we were led to believe by the presentation at Blizzcon! They either need to reduce the amount of grind needed to get extra choices or up the rewards significantly for this to be acceptable after an appalling expansion like Beta for Azeroth.
the only problem i can see is perceived choice loss if you dont farm up all the slots. this can cause burn out from players trying to unlock all the slots.
I'm a bit disappointed. I thought that no matter what dungeon you will complete, you would get to pick 1 of 3 (or 5 preferably) items that the dungeons you did contained. Would be much better. If someone really wanted a piece of gear from specific dungeon, they would just run it once and get to choose 1 of 5 pieces of gear from that dungeon.
I like the fact that you can choose based on the various activities you complete. So to understand this better.Let's say I clear 10 Raid bosses, 2 Mythic ones and 8 Heroic, what choices will I have?
This sounds great! Reasonable progression when you're working towards something. It's lovely. I'd honestly wish to pick more than one, but this is really cool too.
So basically the Mythic weekly chest will still have only one option for people who don't raid Mythic and won't be no-lifing Mythic+Best selling point of SL is gone for me
I wonder how this works with PvP option, if you ain't doing arenas or rbgs, but farming conquest throught daily bgs how ilvl is determined for that specific item? I guess there is hidden MMR even for normal bgs?
I get not wanting to have someone spam 2 after doing one 15 and such but why not avarage reward? example 10 12 13 15 15 = 13 level reward.Instead right now you just get a level 10...super unfriendly system.
