Whatever you do, DO NOT solo queue duos. 99% of the teammates you get will be awful and just run away to let you die. Furthermore, you cannot leave until your teammate is dead, and many oblivious pugs will just keep PvEing alone for 5 more minutes after it's essentially impossible for them to win. (You lose all rewards if you leave before both players are eliminated.) It wastes way more time than just playing solo and leaving after getting 700.
Oooh, so I only have to win. Wish I knew this earlier, then I could be a tad more frustraded when I die.
this event stopped being fun a day ago. id probably like it a lot more if i didnt have to grind it for hours to get the tmog
This is a miserable experience. The hell they do this for >.<
Ugh, I hope there's a way to get the rewards quickly and never see this play 30s, get ganked, play 30s, get ganked grindfest ever again.
I've played 4-5 games the first day to get a feel for the combat and the amount of rep you get per match. Figured at the pace the rep was awarded - I would need to grind more than I was willing. So I dropped 'till the fix, I thought would surely be out ASAP. And it was. Blizz are predictable....So I went back yesterday for an evening sesh and I got 11 rep levels in 3-4 hours without a single win (got 2-5 place several times). 480 rep was the least one I got in a match with quest done. Couple of times I would end up in a middle of a 4 way brawl right after drop and would not be able to get the quest done, but that was maybe 2-3 games at most. So just go again. The main trick - drop on an elite and loot like crazy/do the quest. Then just grind/look for golden chests until you lvl 6-7. Don't bother engaging before that (if possible). Usually by the time I'm ready to fight someone, I usually outlevel them by 2-3 lvls and it's easy pickings even with rank 1 abilities. Try to farm till the very end and don't be afraid engaging in brawls at lvl 7-8 - you either win and loot some more plunder or just die, cash in and go again. PvE and tactics in early-mid game are more important to get the optimal and STEADY plunder. 900-1200 by mid-late game before two or three last rings is pretty good and it's much more chill and less stressful to farm like that if you are not, ehm, "PvP-inclined".I plan to get to 25-30 this weekend while there are still a lot of lobbies you could spam and then just cruse to 40. I've been a "Classic Andy" since C-TBC (DF did not do it for me at all...), but even my old ass can handle it no problem. It looks more like an open world version of nightmare scenarios from BfA with an occasional PvP.
Trying to PvE is a bit of a nightmare to do in this event knowing there are 59 others who want you dead lol. Also landing is the worst part, others seem to already be level 4-5 once I’ve landed so I got no hope of even a smidge of survival! I’d be lucky if I was able to nuke a single spider 🤣 still renown 1 🥲 this event is crazy!I’m wondering if the battlefield/ circle of the storm was a bit wider for the 60 players then we might be able to do some farming before encountering a single player 🤷🏻♀️ just a thought!
"...loot their sweet sweet Plunder from their bodies"Thanks for making it weird Blizz, lol
Anyone who feels "forced" and spend his time to play videogame just to get bunch of pixels which he wont even use needs help. Sit down repeat this and think about it. Its not a joke or insult. Iam serious. This is not ok....
I can't even begin to describe how much I hate this game mode. Imagine being a pet collector forced into pvp combat, reading guides on how to navigate it in a pve mode, trying rur best to go to remote areas to complete a quest, then being ganked every time in the first few minutes before ur even able to do that. I saw what they said about every player being able to enjoy this. no.... not the case. its a pvp environment with rewards that make u feel u have no choice. garbage.
Wow what a useful article this is"Just win lol"
garbage i hope they never do something like this again
