Well you just said it...once the 5 pillars are gathered within the tomb "use the Eye of Aman'Thul to eradicate the Felstorm and sever the Legion's link to Azeroth." So no removing the tidestone or any of the others would reopen the portal. We placed the pillars and reestablished the wards that were undone by Gul'dan and severed the Legion's link to Azeroth. They aren't like keys to hold a lock in place. They are just tools to lock the lock. They were once used by Aegwynn to lock everything away then scattered through the broken shore. That is why they didn't remain in the tomb in the first place.
Still can't believe Blizzard said Tyrande's vengeance is complete. That's the most asinine thing I've ever heard Blizzard say.Just when turmoil is starting in the Alliance factions Blizzard decides to shelter them. The writing in all of BfA has been THE WORST writing I have ever seen in any expansion or game.
This could be an interesting plot twist... Or a disastrous oversight. Only time will tell.
No matter what reason blizzard tries to give to her getting tidestone. It's just REALLY poor writing, because we DID know she wanted it. we spent an entire zone literally trying to beat her to it and lose, only to finally get it back from her forces, only to leave it in tomb and forget about it? "Oh we're done with it now, might as well just let azshara have it"It's just terribly lazy writing.
Agreed, as soon as I saw the tidestone in her hands during the cinematic I basically cringed for about 30 minutes of gameplay then moved WoW over to my backup hard drive AGAIN and went back to LotRO.It's a shame, I was really hoping for a great story, that's all WoW has left.
