Fun detected and nerfed ^^
Just hope they don't nerf it any further. Still could use a shorter cooldown though.
The title of this article is clickbait. How is it possible to nerf an unfinished product?
there is a point more you are missing for fast flying in old azeroth, and that is people with slower computers - >900% requires far faster loading and rendering, and the old maps are built in a different wayrevendreth looks far cleaner before all trees load up.. ;dand y this is a clickbait, many people would be happy for flying puzzles in the old maps which aint be - a "community" in the beginning of the title is too obvious to be void
This is the fun we all, non-alpha testers, are missing out. Would be nice if Blizzard got us some spaces, can be instanced, where we can fly this fast and this long, regardless of regular open world limits. Call them race dungeons if you want, just let us ALL fly fast.
But in these they're hitting walls constantly. The first "nerf" was on turning and hitting stuff slowing you down, which makes these things still possible to pull off, just more difficult. Quite certain the speed was taken down cause of the stutter you can see in many of the clips that happens traveling old zones too fast, which is the reason dragonriding isnt working on old zones at launch.
Most alpha testers whos tested the nerf and written in feedback channel don’t seem to like the nerf or find it fun and in most instances as you can’t max speed without diving you’re actually slower than regular flying mount. And whatever excuse for loading old zones is pointless because then they should’ve done 30% less speed everywhere but dragon isles but they didn’t.
All these routes are still possible with the max speed nerf, right? I also don't particularly see why Soar in the old world has somehow become such a big sticking point for people when it comes to DF. Definitely cool looking when you thread the needle in some of these scenic routes but ultimately all that's happened is Dracthyr aren't capable of going twice as fast as everyone else outside DF? That seems fine to me.
This looks outrageously fast, glad it's nerfed
Is it really a nerf if it was never active in live game? Would you even know about the nerf if they weren't doing public alphas? As I said before Blizzard needs to stop doing public alphas and only give access to people who would actually test stuff and have them sign nda contracts until the game is released. That way we can also avoid outrage farming on irrelevant things by certain content creators and websites.
*Blizz* "Quick Wowhead, write an article on how fun something is, even though the playerbase know we nerfed it for #reasons and dont want it"*Wowhead* "Yesssss masssteeer, aanythiiing forrr youuuuu"
I wonder Blizzard still think it's a good idea after receiving 99% negative feedback on this nerf. Such a terrible decision from a business perspective.
