Either this login screen is a facade that will reveal a "true" login screen, like Dragonflight adding Alexstrasza to the login screen on launch... or perhaps the Login screen might change slightly with each patch?
I'm glad if it will change. The current version is kinda boring for me.I hope it will be as cool as some previous login screens.
Guys, this is SPECULAH much. Remember that after the base login screen, we don't have toon specific screens but a Warband screen instead. These may be related to the Warband screen and its rumored customizations. However, in the grand scheme of things, login screen isn't a super-complicated asset, and I was surprised that the game was making so little use of it so far. Both that timerunning thing and the other one before it use main game screen rather than overrated desktop app which everyone seems to want and every user wants to see killed. Perhaps someone from Microsoft's side sees the trend?
Gamers when they discover that a Beta is a work in progress
I don't see why there isn't an option to change login screen to any of the previous expansion's login screens. And have the ability to randomize every time you open the game.
Prepatch is dropping this week and usually contains the new login screen. I don't expect it to drop on beta before then.
I think there is going to be something cracking and breaking behind it, possibly void related.. considering the content were heading into.Maybe a void portal, there are portal effects being added.
a good login screen is like having a really fun / good looking doormat that makes you want to see the rest of the house thats all.Blizzard had some really good looking login screens across the board and if you compare it to this current one is just a joke.I get it that many people don't care about the login screen and thats fine
At least don't make it so 'heavy' on UI resource it'll chomp on our machines, like DF one did throughout the whole expansion. Such high FPS drops in there everytime that screen comes, and it gave the WoTLK vibes with Alextrasza flying close.I remember the SL one at the beginning was as much as a FPS hog, then by the end of it it was very smooth, don't know why the need to 'force' them on people's machines at, as it seems, very high resolution renderend stuff. At least it should follow the user client's settings (including resolution and fps stuff).
