I would imagine the repository of 3D models they have amassed at this point in the game is absolutely massive...I wonder what the actual number would be, out of curiosity!
Queen Azshara be lookin intimidating as hell! I can't wait to finish her off, or not :P who knows
I wonder how often old models (or skeletons/frameworks of old models) are used to create something new. I for one can see a lot of similarities between certain models (like mounts) that are reskinned versions of another model.
Doubt we kill azsharra
I wonder to what extent (if any) the creature model for an NPC might influence the voice actor/actress in their work.
Nice to see artists whith such passion for their work
Dont understand this pieco of work, never can do anything like that :D
Oh man, this one is #goals. I've only just started out on 3D modeling and everything's more or less confusing and nearly just makes me want to give up, but seeing the progress here from something nice and perhaps achievable to something amazing is very motivating ! Beautiful rendering <3Now if only I could grasp how is all this here done...
These people are incredibly talented. It's amazing to see these characters come to life!
This is really cool to see! I've always loved behind the scenes stuff!
Very cool to see the process. That's a dream job. The art team is amazing.
I'm hoping that every upcoming boss gets the same treatment as Azshara! Clearly they are being meticulous about fleshing out these characters manually so that each is a spectacular rendering.
These artists are out of their mind with creativity. I wish I had 1/10th the skill they do. It's very interesting to see the design aspect as I imagined (probably foolishly) that there was much more being done with "hard copies". Like hand drawings and stuff. Being able to conceptualize something in ink with your hand is an amazing skill by itself, but having to then take that into the virtual world is like a whole different skill set.
You are not human! Well played!
The artists, and everyone else really, that Blizzard hires really don't get enough credit for their work. They put their all into everything that they do and try to make everything look amazing for us, the players. It's incredible to see all of this behind-the-scenes stuff and I hope that it will continue to be featured in future Blizzcons to come.
they are soo talented. We take their work for granted. Great to see how it's done
