more mobile slop to makemore PC games to cancel
"Let's further ignore our games and focus on monetization heavy mobile games"
these expanded mini-game modes are fantastic the only problem with panda remix is having to pray to RNGesus for weapon mog drops in a limited time event =_=;
Gimme WoWio Kart
"we have many of our best developers now working on new mobile titles across all of our IPs"Well that explains A LOT
Instead of creating new IPs like the cancelled survival game, they feed from the carcass of the genius og Blizzard and Blizzard North Team.And its disgusting how they can't stop to destroy the art old devs created like !@#$ing around with 20 year old world map icons and 18 year old mounts like the nether rays, dragon hawks and fire hawk mounts.
i have 0 interest in a mobile game i cant just buy once and play
This is not good.Considering they are understaffed this will only make thing worse.The AA games will prob be low effort for maximun profit also, so more games like warcraft rumble.
Gimme Rock'n'Roll Racing for mobile
Now watch as the double A games come out better than the triple A ones.
Corporate greed at its best again.Mobile devices are dirt cheap and every punk on the planet with $40 has a burner phone they spend hours on, they don't have the IQ of a rat and mindlessly will run the hamster wheel of stupidly simple games that are easy to play because they were "inspired" by the big name originators.Remember folks, Microsoft bought Blizzard and they expect to see money hand over fist rolling into their coffers. They learned how to monopolize the market and being diverse, expanding the programs (apps if you want to call them that because you don't like multisyllable words) to multiple hardware platforms only helps speed up the process of money funneling into the company vault.Hardware, I'm talking about good, current computer hardware, is not cheap. We have seen incredibly stupid increases in silicon costs over the last few years and it is only going to get worse with world political issues as time goes on. This is about what devices are cheap and everyone has them. I have a number of PC's, a smart phone, and an old PS2 (lol) and for me the mobile gaming, such as candy crush was just a "take your mind off the floor when using the throne", I never spent any cash in that game, so stopped using it once it said, pay to play. But as many have pointed out there are a tremendous amount of people out there with far more money than brain cells, who do not care and will buy anything, the "Birds to Shiny Objects" syndrome. Companies see this and want their revenue.There are plenty of hardcore PC hardware enthusiasts out there, along with a lot of console players (as they just don't have the time to build or afford a top end PC). My rig is a cheap dual water cooled tower that still cost me over 7k. If I wanted current tech in it, I'd be looking at over 11k. Kids and teens generally don't have that kind of cash available unless they have wealthy parents who love to spoil them. That leaves mobile devices, that if you see the upside, buy one on a phone company's monthly plan for what, $10, $20, $30 a month? I don't know, I buy my phone outright so I don't have the company's logo and installed apps running on their locked phone, it lets a whole gaggle of people have access to online gaming. These trends lead to addictive screen time as young people who grow up, get jobs, still have their electronic leash in hand and start gambling now with their hard earned money. See where this is going? Companies hire psychologists to assess how well a design is going to influence an end user and how best to keep them playing on their site, spending time and money on their mobile device to have fun and excitement that they lack in other areas of their lives. This is not new and will continue as culture's across the world evolve. All of us have a choice, what to do with our time. We get influenced by peers, advertising, our parents, politics and religion. At the end of the day only we can understand our own desire to have a fun filled life and what we want to do to make that happen.No mobile games for me, my choice, highly detailed ray traced graphics PC games on a nice big flatscreen where I don't need to wear glasses in a few years after squinting at a mobile screen for hours on end every day is a good incentive.
