to be expected tbh.its state side has no union, but MS does have some unions outside that it accepts.
Doesn't really mean anything.
Raven QA team is terrible. Warzone is filled with bugs, crashes, and the entire UI is a lag filled mess. I see they take the union route instead of doing their jobs well.
Good for you, guys! :)
Whilst this is objectively a good thing , this is the kind of QA team that seems like it needs a QA team, so I ain't too stoked ;P
Yes Blizzard PR guy says the same thing...
Crazy how many people think social progress was cool, positive and justified up until they turned 20 / joined the workforce, but everything since then is useless and taking things too far.
Glad im not working for Acti "show me your beep" Vision. I hope they have time to leave at Raven Software before they become part of the Tyranny at Activision and are forced their way of "work ethics".
American problems again.....
So awesome to hear such a statement!
Here is how this works in QA. Union formed, instantly costs go up. So, hiring freezes to get a handle on costs. Then, quality starts to diminish, because there is less new blood coming in to keep people on their toes. Adding even more cost. Then, someone at Activision Blizzard calls up one of 10 million QA companies around the US or World and gets a quote on some service. Then, this quote comes up even less than they were paying before they had the union. So this Blizzard exec does it, saves big money, and gets a big bonus.New place hire loads of people, and they all make starting wages. But many people learn a trade, and move up in soceity with starting work.Old place has a couple of over paid twits that cling to their Karl Marx books but the QA is defunct more or less and never gets new hires. You can remind me in 2 years. This happens every time low skill workers with movable jobs demand more than market wages. Unions help 2 types of people. Union reps, and Employee's lucky enough to get in the door. They screw over everyone else.
