I hope the shake up and acquisition by Microsoft leads to good things. literally can't be worse than what happened after Activision's acquisition (or merger, whatever, I'm not a lawyer)
I don’t feel bad for Ybarra in the slightest. Dude oversaw so many bad leadership decisions. All of Diablo 4 was bad, the overwatch “upgrade” to overwatch 2 was worse, the decision to ignore devs warnings to avoid posting the game on steam entirely backfired and was a general referendum on their poor leadership, they dragged their feet and bemoaned against creating classic servers, again proving leadership wrong. I do feel bad for the other 1,900 lost employees. The customer service overhaul was needed and has gotten worse over time ever since Activision acquired Blizzard. I don’t know if things will be better under Microsoft, but I do expect them to do a better job of listening to their customers and honestly it’s not like they can do worse than the previous leadership at Blizzard.

Most people that leave Blizzard end up admitting they hated it so much and the working conditions were terrible.. and I believe them.
Honestly, those are rookie numbers. Need to be at least triple that, including most of upper management. Then maybe Blizzard might, MIGHT, be able to do something worth while instead of the garbage they've been churning out lately. Bring on the hate!

The game has been in an 8 year decline as far as player experience goes.. it's amazing some of those people kept their jobs this long. I'm talking mostly about leadership here but that trickles down. Also, zero chance you resign when there's that many years of severance/compensation on the table. Mike was definitely fired.. lol. Probably with good reason.
I feel no sympathy for a Company that falsly bans players account! And that goes against their own Social Contract...They ignored the fact I accepted a Social contract which only indicated "Up to suspension of your account" So two years of fighting for my account and see this happen is a win... And I hope more layoffs happen from the company that falsely banned my account!I haven't forgotten I accepted "If you harm your fellow with any of the above behaviors, Your account is subject to punishment up to and including suspension of your account"And yet my account was banned when it should have been Suspended. Its the agreement i accepted in the Social Contract...
