34 stacks of determination later
HA. Doing a final boss run on LFR the first week. I don't hate myself that much.
I mean, Denathrius is much easier than some of the earlier bosses (especially for LFR brains) so I wouldn't be too scared. Plus you actually get 2500 anima, 1250 for sword, 1250 for bolvar q after twisting corridors.
Is it possible to save this for next week's anima? I am already at 825/1000 and I hate to lose out on that much xD I'm assuming we can maybe just keep it in our quest log until reset?
Sadly, no 1250 anima from LFR. 250 anima. We killed the boss with 1 derptermination....There are much worse fights in LFR than this last one. Looks like Argus' fight, sometimes. And no, we cant save anima for the next reset.
My monk only got one 250 anima piece and no cutscene.
I don't get why people doing it on LFR would get a different quest after beating Denathrius than the people doing it in Normal+.I did it on Normal and got (5x250)x2, so 2500 anima. You sure you checked clearly if the 250 anima item wasn't a stack of 5?

The current anima farm is a chore, though, that's sure. It divides the playerbase between those who have the time to do all/most of the anima WQ every day and are above 10k+ anima most of the time, and those who can't and are struggling with reaching the requirements to upgrade their sanctum. You can't deny however that some WQ anima rewards are very inconsistent in regards to the time/involvement required to do them. A WQ that will require you 2 minutes to do will reward 105 anima, while one that takes 5 minutes can reward 70. Raid bosses reward 35 anima, while they require at least 10 people and about 5 to 10 minutes of concentration to do (especially compared to a WQ)... IMO, raid bosses should reward 105 anima each.Take the time one day to look at the anima rewards of WQ for yourself, ask yourself if there aren't a few where you're like "nah, that one is too long and the reward is too low, I don't wanna do it".On the other hand, in-Lore, there's an anima drought, and I would wager that in 9.1, we'll be officially done with Castle Nathria and the anima that Denathrius was hoarding will be re-distributed, meaning that (maybe) Blizzard will put out a multiplier on all anima rewards, kinda like how getting artifact power and azerite became easier as expansions went on.
I mean... the way it currently is, it's so we actually have things to do for the foreseeable future, though.Looking back, the artifact/azerite power grind wasn't what made me like Legion or hate BFA.Removed
He is right, the anima grind is annoying. It would be ok if it only matter for the farmville covenant minigame but it doesn't, you need it to unlock the renown soulbind slots, you need it to unlock better worldquest rewards, etc.In the end you need to farm worldquests for hours, and that is for each alt you have. He is more than right, is way too annoying.Removed
RemovedAlso I highly doubt that denathirus will take “34 stacks of determination.” First it only goes to 10, and second, in every other difficulty, Sludgefist was by far the hardest boss of the raid. As for me, I fully intend to not have to farm anima for two weeks as I can turn in the sword quest this week and the Bolvar quest next week, and still have anima to spare.
