This should tell you all you need to know about the current state of m+ tanking
In BFA High keys, tank's practically never had to kite, no matter the level, and if they did, no where near to the extent that you'd need an old-world belt enchant to fix the problem for you. The problem isn't that tanks need to kite, it's that tanks have never needed to kite this much before (save the first pack in Tol Dagor), and it's quite literally every pack. If healers are able to heal the content, and DPS are able to DPS the content, why can't tanks tank the content?
They likely are trying to track baseline performance before assassin implementation and after. I expect we’ll see some 9.1 tuning to bring tank performance up to what the cardboard allows now (with obvious scaleup with new gear in 9.1 and 9.2). Basically no different than a pilot study or live beta test.
I think it's cool old items are useful. It's makes the world feel more immersive.
Is this an endorsement? The cardboard assassin(a Cata item) is functioning as intended in SL M+? Guess I'm swapping to Eng. The benefits are massive.
