Guys come on, everyone saying that human druids are against the lore, just so you know that Gilnean practised druidism before they became worgen, and Kul Tiran, besides being very close to nature, have originally came from Gilneas. Kul Tiran getting druid class is 100% justified.
Well ... not bad ... not bad at all ...Although i can not get rid of feeling that theese forms SHOULD be used for Worgens as well. :-/
Gilneans weren't always worgens and they were druids before that. Harvest Witches such as Celestine are druids that existed before worgenism affected Gilneas.
Whether or not Gilnean's nature magic before the curse is druidism, the fact is, the only requirement for learning druidism is that the race must have a connection to nature, then from there they can be taught stringer druidic powers like shapeshifting. Harvest witches prove that humans have the potential for druidic learning, because as low of nature magic as it may be, it is still nature magic. We don't know what went on in Kul'tirans for hundreds of years, for all we know, a group of traveling Night Elves visited and taught the harvest witches how to grow their magical abilities, and they have had hundreds of years to focus them and become more powerful. Human druids are completely lore appropriate, especially if they are not Stormwind Humans. Both Gilnean and Kul'tiran druids have some connection with nature. So stop whining like brats, if you dont like human druids, dont play one.
It looks to me like it is using a different skeleton from that of regular bears. One thing to consider - it looks to me like Kul Tirans would be allied (sub) race for Worgens, so who would eventually be allied race to regular Humans?
I can only imagine what the other forms are like given what the other forms Zandalari Druids. If the Zandalari Moonkin looks like a Buzzard Arakkoa; then I'm terrified of what Kul Tiran Moonkins look like.Other than that, that Bear druid form is metal AF!
Blizzard are so Alliance biased OMG!
As far as I remembered, the only part of lore that wound imply humans CAN'T be playable druids is mostly the amount of time it would require within the Emerald Dream in order to be attuned with nature enough to shapeshift. Worgen getting sort of cheated into that ability with the curse being just a forced shapeshifting curse, which using that ability with proper training allows more animal forms under their belt. However, these forms aren't exactly animals, and maybe not even actual bonafide shapeshifting. From what we have seen, these forms might just be literally, "I used nature magic to twist wood around my body in a feline/treant/bear-esque shape." Most especially in the case of the "feral" form, looking really haphazardly and tied together in some parts. This would get around the years within the Emerald Dream that humans can't naturally live through, as well as showcasing the cheating ingenuity of humans to make up for their faults.Of course, I wish I could cite the Emerald Dream bit but I can't remember which probably-throw-away line in which quest or dialogue it came from, and can't find anything when I search for it.Edit: Generally what I'm saying is Kul'tiran druids are probably not "druids" by an official standpoint. Rather, they're probably witches or something similar that happen to use nature magic, and are only represented in game as druids because it's the same concept done a bit differently, but playstyle-wise is the same thing.
Personally I dislike the kul'tiran models, just feels too bulky for me to want to play them. Which is a problem since I'm a resto druid by heart. Love the new bear form but if resto won't get some love for a new model, I doubt I can 'bear' it. I'm quite curious why all the other models can get new spins on them, yet resto can only get the old tree model as a glyph. Or am I the only salty resto druid?
