If I read the article right, its to balance the factions and stop the faction favourtism argument. Which making the horde wand was more profitable than the alliance one. In the form of a vendor price for a wand. If people are going to keep undercutting in an AH where you don't need to - this kind of things happens. Someone obviously reported it or mentioned it when a GM/dev/etc (off hours or during) happened to see. Honestly I had no idea the prices were different or I would have reported it myself because that ain't fair - the prices should be the same. Only faction usable should be the only difference no?
