Sylvanas' fate was sealed the minute she took over as Warchief. She barely has the best interests of the Forsaken in mind and doesn't give a damn about the other races of the Horde. It was only a matter of time...
The only thing that I felt disappointed of, is that they just made huge texture of burned Teldrassil, instead of ruins. Exploring ruins of Teldrassil would be fun.Oh, and FOR THE HORDE. Too bad they didn't kill Tyrande and Malfurion, hate them both.
Very weak plot twist we have seen coming from miles away and hoping it would not be true. WoW has been so successful because of the blurred line between good and evil(Horde and Alliance), which has now yet again has been redrawn very clear. This has worked once because "it happens once in a while", but going for this the second time...this recurring bad warchief plot will be the end of WoW, mark my words.
I wonder if anyone has mentioned this beforehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LCnebZnysmI
Well, that was just as lame as one feared it will be. No twist, nothing. Just plain old blizzard storywriting.
People are actually claiming to be "done with this game" or "unsub" because of the story and it's only the pre-patch. For goodness sake the storyline's are just getting started and people are acting like Blizz just gave up trying.... if you've been playing the game this long only to quit over this then maybe it's not for you anymore. Personally, it's just a story, it's just a game that I love - I'm more interested in seeing where this all leads before I condemn it outright.
I’m not at all bothered Sylvanas burned the tree. That’s a very Slyvanas-ey thing to do, her motives have never really been affected by morality. Her goal was to break the Alliance’s spirit, initially by killing Malfurion, which she didn’t do, even when she could have easily finished him off. (Testing Saurfang’s loyalty, clearly). It was when Delaryn said she pitied her and that it was impossible to kill hope that she knew claiming darkshore wouldn’t be enough and gave the order. This is who she’s always been and why I knew she just wouldn't work as warchief. Blizz wrote her into a position where she would ultimately fail the horde. If Vol’jin had appointed Saurfang or Baine as warchief it wouldn’t have steered the game back to faction conflict after we defeated the legion. These are the storylines that are necessary or the game would just turn into world of pvecraft. I’m predicting the alliance will feel forced to retaliate with less than honorable acts on the future. Aka morally grey.
Looks like High Elf Sylvannas lost an ear while swinging her blades (check out image 25 of 50). Good thing she got it reattached before being turned into a banshee!~Loak
I am going to wager that both sylvanas and anduin(in some way) are being manipulated by the old gods and this will be made more evident later. Ultimately i suspect the further weakening of both sides to be the end goal. Possibly with a concentration of azerite and some crazy misguided ritual ushering some event.a conscious acknowledgement of manipulation (at least to me) is in the lorderan invasion cinematic at the end it almost has both leaders smirking at each other. Almost like they know something. Going back to Il'gynoth's rant. There is probably some things to be taken out of that too. Ultimately i think there is going to be a choice to kill her at the end of some raid and i think one of the main characters are going to cut loose even against the judgement of their peers. An event such as the burning leaves alot of potential characters who would scream for her blood. My money is on Anduin though although i suspect saurfang will be contributing in some manner.
I'll sub back to wow when Saurfang become warchief, when Baine, Lorthemar or whatever left of troll leader have a brain and spines of their own to actually do sth abt this honorless pile of @$&%
Think this was an awsome twist no one was expecting sylvanas to be the one to burn the tree down. She isn’t a generic hero character she does what needs be done and she won’t let others moral or opinion stand in the way. I see strong leadership this is the Tywin Lannister stuff.
