Need to level moar alts

It's upsetting, but my guild may be suffering from this. We've made it to the Lich King and we had devoted an entire week of raiding to conquer him, but for two weeks now we haven't had enough people log in to even down Marrowgar. Some have left for vacations and as for others, I don't know where they are. Is the golden age over? For us, maybe, but I'm hoping there's still a bit of oomph left to at least kill the LK once.
I can understand that for many who have been on top of their game that the Wrath of the Lich King has been exhausted, and you're all right, the golden ages of Wrath are over. It's time for a new expansion, but also for many of us we believe that this expansion has gone by so fast, and that not many of us have been able to do all that the game has to offer, just because we don't stampede through the game so fast, so I can see it in two ways.
It seems the juice box that is Wotlk has no more juice to drink.Or something to that effect :^X
Imo there's still a lot, even after all that Argent, that can keep you occupied. Ever level an alt of the opposite faction? I did, was a good change. :DAnother thing you can move on to is PvP. You can grab some nifty items from it.Finally, you could always make a twink. I'm loving my 70.But yes... WotLK's age is, at the very least, coming to an end. WTB Cata.
I guess it depends on how late you arrived at the party. I took a an involuntary break shortly after Ulduar (when the guild I led self-destructed). Right when ICC dropped, I faction- and server-transferred my characters to start gearing them up with a friend, to raid. We've slowly been making progress, and are still working on ICC 10 - so for me, the desire and fun are still there. I've also been going back to older content to grab mounts and pets that I missed out on.So again, I think it's wholly dependent on how quickly you got through the content. If you were already T9-geared as soon as ICC opened up, and smashed through the whole of the citadel double-time, then I could see how you would be bored.
This has been by far the best content for WoW yet, but it's also been the longest run "episode" run as well, close to 2 years once Cataclysm comes out that we've been in Northrend.Frankly, Blizzard should have skipped ToC, and gone from Ulduar straight to ICC. ToC is the one place I've never, ever liked and it really hurt a lot of people's enjoyment of the game. Thankfully ICC is one fantastic raid instance, but again, it's almost been too long to go without new content.I hope Blizzard has learned their lesson and will be faster / shorter with further content come Cataclysm.
Yes. I haven't even achieved close to what Terion has but I'm still getting pretty bored. Right now I'm "preparing" for Cataclysm on my character by getting as much gold as I can and banking some supplies for leveling. Despite being a healer I have built up a pretty nice dps set for questing in.
Well things are as they are, and we can't really do much about it.I, for one am not satisfied how WotLK turned out (yet another thing we can't do anything about).I am not posting this to criticize anything that blizzard did, I want to remind people of the basic (at least for me) thing that WoW actually brings. It's the people, millions of them. Why am I mentioning this?Because a great majority of WoW players actually care for the phat lewts, achis and what not. That's just not right don't you think? So to bring out what i actually wanted to say. When i get bored of all the stuff you mentioned and if there's nothing to do irl, i just go and find a nice cosy place invite some friends for a drink and off i go chatting. And on a side note, since I'm a real WoW lore freak. GIEF MORE QUESTS!
I'd have to do agree. There's only so much time I can spend in Northrend. I think it's Cata time.
I stopped like eight (already been eight?) months ago. I haven't experienced any ICC or anything. While a few ICC raids would have been fun I feel that WotLK was indeed exhausted. Another contributing reason for why I quit was RL things, but most of all I found that I was bored. The only fun I ever had raiding was puging (can you believe it?) naxx in the beginning of WotLK. When they moved conquest emblems down to heroics I just could't find the motivation to play anymore. It's not that it was easier for other people to get better gear but it just would have felt wrong to replace my hard earned pieces of gear with some simple heroic farming.I think think this will happen in every future expansion, that it will tire of and fade into a grind rather than something fun just for the experience. I am considering returning for cata (will see how my real life turns out first) just to play for those first months that are the most fun.
i try, but i feel your pain. i cant find much motivation to play anymore til cat. comes out.
