You all have done an amazing job with WoW and I look forward to your database for ESO.
I don't think Elder Scrolls online will last long however, and you will not have to do so many updates like you do for the WoW stuff! :S
I'm debating whether I think this is a good idea or not
Hahaha, why am I not surprised about this? ^^I got into the last beta, played around a bit (but not as much as I'd liked, because we were out of town last weekend... damnit) and really liked the single-player feel. The way the game played reminded me a lot of Morrowind, way back when, but I've heard from others that it was very similar to Skyrim as well. However, even if you haven't played an Elder Scrolls game before, I think you really should go take a look at this new MMO. You might just be surprised... and get sucked in. :p
i like it, gona play EoSO
Just to be clear, the core Wowhead team has been focusing on WoW throughout Esohead's development :) The tools on Esohead have been developed independently by other ZAM devs and any progress on that site won't be affecting when new features are launched on Wowhead.
Perculia or anyone else who can answer: I want to use my username from other connected sites for Esohead, not the one I have for wowhead, is there any way to change it? When I registered for the ESOUI site, it gave me a choice during registration, but not with ESOhead. I see no place to change anything on the ESOhead site.http://i.imgur.com/iqrSBh1.png(BTW, Previous to logging in via other site info, I attempted to register fresh with the shared e-mail and the name I wanted, but it failed, with no error message given).
I'm trying to add some comments based on information and events I have encountered in Beta play, but can't log in using my WoWhead registration for some reason. Is there something preventing this at the moment? Looking forward to help get some useful information up and ready for full play!
Wait, so WoW is being abandoned by this site for ESO? Goddamned traitors! ESO is not the next WoW killer.
Excellent news! I've very much enjoyed my time in ESO and it'll be great to have a database to refer to.
More databases yay.
Good work, but I'm afraid I'll have to join my voice to the pessimists out there. It's a real pity because the general outline sounds awesome, but they are ruining so many important details I wonder if they aren't doing it on purpose. For example, as Maelynn said, the game provides lot of single-player experience, BUT they divide players into 3 factions. 3 factions are good for world PvP, which does not seem to be their focus, but for all other aspects of gameplay it is problematic
Like I said earlier, the people who work on Wowhead haven't been involved in Esohead--here are some of the new features on Wowhead in the last month alone. We're all part of the ZAM network though and make a newspost whenever a site is made for a game--like Lolking or XIVdb.
Hello everyone! It's me fewyn, I'm the one heading up over at Esohead and I hope I can answer some questions for you. When you login for the first time at Esohead it picks a username automatically, this is based on a priority system with Wowhead being the first username it tries to use if available, if that doesn't work it moves on to our other sites in the network. Though we have some fixes coming for those who don't like their automatically chosen username but right at this time if you want to change your username I cannot do it. But if you send me an email over at feedback@esohead.com I'll be see about getting it done when I can. Which hopefully will be Soon.Any further questions feel free to ask, I'll be keep an eye out over here!
