Quest turn-in mode.
You should be able to turn it off in any Rested Area (ie being ganked in the field but that is your choice so its a hit or miss standing)You should be able to turn it on in any major Capital however (Zandalar/Boralus/IF/TB/SM/Exo)
I play alliance never was outnumbered how it is spammed on forums i hunt hordes everynight i mostly play with more alliance and we are more than hordes in zone.
This change doesn't affect ganking at all... even with a tent, there will still be the 5 min debuff before PvP mode actually goes away. (But the XP bonuses probably disappear immediately). No, other solutions need to be found to resolve ganking. Honestly, I have no idea why its allowed for anyone to pvp someone "gray" (10+ level below).
It's a good change because having to go back to org/SW is annoying af and discourages people who want to pvp SOMETIMES and not at all times. Now loosen up the gold missions so I can rake in my alt gold making like in WoD and Legion again! I feel it is coming!
Challenge : find something that hasn't been rushed since Legion. My answer: The dance studio What do I win ?
The most important information is missing from the post: Are you able to turn it off if you run into an Inn as a ghost to get away from the 5 people sitting on your corpse? If not, then it is completely pointless. As for faction balance. Just forget about it. It is one-sided now and Zandalari vs FatHumans will make it worse. A lot worse. There are players who waited 14 years to play Zandalari. The same is not true for the ability to roll FatHuman.Increased rewards.....how can you even call it that, honestly? WQs have absolutely no rewards worth mentioning this expansion. The multiple of zero is still zero. The bonus changes NOTHING for max-level. Absolutely %^&*ing nothing. The only thing that makes people play WQs are emissaries. And WM gives exacly squat-^&*! as a bonus for them.Blizzard needs to be a little more creative to balance war mode. Stop giving all the races that players actually want to the Horde and depicting the red faction as the default winners and the blue faction as the default coward losers in their own lore sources would be a good start. But now i'm getting too extreme, i guess.
Blizz is trying to fix WM imbalance by changing a procedural rule when the real cause is more cultural. This is a common mistake made by bad managers, those who are lazy, don't care, etc. It's a band-aid fix. The reason there is such faction imbalance is because Horde has been favored in many ways for a long time - racials, dev. comments, Warfront access, you name it. It's just part of the culture at this point. It's very difficult to change cultural norms and identities, but it *can* be done. However, this certainly won't affect anything. In fact it seems more like a waste of time/resources on their part to even be fiddling with it - another sign of poor management.
This isn't good for world PvP, really. They're moving closer to the old toggle on/off PvP by right-clicking your portrait again. At this point you might just as well return with separate PvP and PvE servers once again. Warmode was implemented so that people would be motivated to try out "world PvP" in return for bonus xp/resources. Now all those people are likely going to turn off warmode when questing and turn it back on for a second and hand in the quest to get bonus xp/resources. The whole Warmode system was based on "higher risks, higher rewards", now it's going to be "almost no risk, still higher rewards". What on earth is going through Blizzard's mind? Do they just want to divide the community, or lose even more subscribers, or both? World PvPers aren't going to be happy with this change and both PvP/PvE players will be once again upset with one another.
this changes seems a bit pointless... yes loosened but again abit pointless.
Cool, hopefully they'll let us queue for islands anywhere..
Or a better idea just let us toggle in any capital city not just Orgrimmar/Stormwind.
maybe one day we'll be able to turn it on at least in the BFA city of our faction instead of having to go through 2 loading screens to do just that.
For roleplayers this is absolutely amazing! The amount of times I've seen friends or myself fly over to Feralas, to then realise you cannot see others cause warmode is one, is very frustrating. You have to go back to Boralus, to SW, then again take the portal to Uldum and fly again. Now we can just go to what ever zone we wish to roleplay in and turn it off there at the inn. It is not often something nice like this is done that actually benefits roleplayers, so I am really happy!
War mode was too good to be true anyways. I feel like it was already compromised since people could always group up to phase out or cross over into another zone or area and phase out. Slowly they will make it simply a way to get bonuses and the world pvp from it will become nothing.
