I got mine from the first LFR wing 3 attempt. The fights aren’t that bad (or I got a lucky group). Only two whipes on the final boss, after some explanation the ‘idiots’ that didn’t want to do the fight got blown of the platform straight away and the rest of us managed to kill it.Since I also do normal runs with the guild (full clears in two hours), it was just a nice bonus to be able to get the skin to drop. Normally I am not so lucky with loot drops and my rolls are crap and I only get loot when everyone else already has it.Letting the skin drop on LFR is a smart move of Blizzard, since it will get normal, heroic and mythic raiders in (at least the third wing) LFR. Since there is no other reason for them to be in LFR with the new roll restrictions.
Bad decision, it diminishes the value of the skin itself when everyone can easily get it. It would have been easier to get over time anyway.
In my sole opinion, as a player, the full-body transformation option should not drop from LFR.The reason for this is dual:1. Dropping from every difficulty means being 100% guarantee (for a single person) goes out the window. That, naturally, ensures there will be a (small? large? who knows?) portion of the playerbase who - despite hard-farming Raszageth for the item - will never get it, and no bad luck protection exists to mitigate that.2. The value of having one of these is diminished from "oh cool, you defeated the last boss on <insert higher difficulty than LFR>" to "oh cool, lucky you". Having your dragonriding mount being the spitting image of any Incarnate should be a point of pride in accomplishing to clear the raid, and that is now gone, since this is like a random mount. Also, don't forget there is absolutely zero guarantee that Dragonriding will make it past this expansion, as a system, which means every time you kill Raszageth, and don't get the item, it will feel worse and worse (since it will be that much less time you have to enjoy it, before it's gone).A far better option would be to follow the Shadowlands' Slime cat mount route: do the work, which can be "clear the raid on Normal or higher", be rewarded for the extra mile with a nice transmog for your dragonriding mount.I guess it is what it is now, though :/
Ok, after reading the comments, and such, I have to say something: over the years of playing games like WoW, I've always wondered: what is your logic, people? You think that people don't deserve this simply because they did it on LFR and not Normal/Heroic/Mythic? Seriously? It's a cosmetic! You act like it'll be devalued, but have you ever stopped to consider choosing cosmetics that you personally like the appearance of, and not just ones that are rare or time-gated? Yes, I'm aware that the rarer or time-gated cosmetics in this game tend to look better, but still. This being available on LFR as well won't change its appearance. Maybe you should just stop, sit back, and think "do I actually like the appearance of this cosmetic?" instead of just complaining about its rarity and such. Personally, I think this thing looks badass, and I'm actually going to go for it on LFR, and if you don't like it, then to bad. It's available on LFR, and I doubt you crying that people who "didn't put any effort in for it" is actually going to change that. You're just making yourselves upset, and causing other people to hate you. But whatever floats your boat.
this is dumm - cool transformations should be purely from normal or hc - not from lfr
Got mine on the first kill of normal ... thought it was a 100% drop at first IMO it looks better than the KSM mount ... and it flies lol
oh nice! im surprised they did this but quite happy about it. suppose i should do a little farming
cue the inevitable grumbling about "muh prestige" and "muh the mount is ruined because im not special with it"
