So they're marking the easiest mythic+ dungeon harder and are making the worst mythic+ dungeon easier, makes sense.While it's sad to see the gargoyle no longer being a powerhouse when you control it, it also lowers its damage if you do not control it. So if you do need its percentage or you don't have a venthyr in your party, that does make things a bit easier.

Yeah, to be honest the issue with lanterns is their placement, the only useful ones are the first and the last because the other 2 (that come to mind, not sure if there's another) are inconvenient (one risks pulling an extra gragoyle and doesn't have enough enemies near to be worth it), or useless (the one in the 2nd boss ring either requires you kiting ranged packs for a long distance to it or get like 2 stacks).
While this tuning is interesting, it's only coming out after 4-5 months from release...much of these issues should have been handled sooner, probably during Beta. At this point I'm more interested in Convenant/Class/Spec tuning than dungeons.
