Not really annoyed with the change, it's par for the course. I did put some sockets in fooling around in the Maw and too much stygia. What's annoying is trying to "upgrade" your conduits with the Unbound Reality Fragments and getting upgrades for a spec you don't and will never use. If I had known, it would have been smarter to not have slotted those conduits for the spec of two you know you won't ever play. The upgrade should be for your spec and/or the general abilities. On my hunter there are EIGHT conduits that may get upgraded before the FOUR for her spec - and knowing the RNG of this game, that's not good odds.======Agree 100%. There's the player base - casual, casual-core and the rest of the 99% that just have to go along with the decision that effect the "content creators" - hate that term. Commentator, maybe. But content? very few create content. Blizz caterers to them, as they assist in the monetization of WoW. Can't make $$ on Esports, except off the 1%, right? Maybe if they would stop making changes for just the top 1% they would not design them selves in a corner every patch. They should start from basics again and take a look at who the game is for streamers and mythic raiders or vast majority of people who play the game.I couldn't agree with you more. But we all know listening to the top 1% is the ONLY feedback Blizzard listens to. If it doesn't happen right away the top players will take to Youtube, Twitch, Reddit or where ever, to get the rest of the player base to parrot their "concerns". Then when Blizz changes, it the top one percent pats each other on the back and tells the world "LOOK! We were right again."
100% makes sense and i agree. since there are stories of the top guilds and players stockpiling stygia for the next season/tier to immediately apply sockets to the new tier/season 2 pieces of loot to have an advantage right out the gate.Pretty much keeping the status quo of what Blizzard has always done, not allowing currencies or upgrades to carry over to next season.
Can we get some alternative activity to dig those sockets besides Stygia farm in maw? Dont get me wrong i love maw as zone, but since its season 2 and people alredy overplayed maw for stygia, gief at last new dailes and new enemies there, new zone even inside maw..... i cant imagine farming again my 36k stygia for new 5 sockets on same content
Imho if those two items are unique, they could add Stygia cap of lets say ~10-25k.With new patch they could add new items, change prices of current ones, do anything and almost everyone would start at the same line.
So if you guys add another level of rep your really going to screw the player base here. People who don't do it now will be extremely behind in later patches. If you choose to add a catch up mechanic to her rep then you make the people who spent there time grinding feel like there time was an absolute waste. Conduits are dumb and extremely frustrating to try and collect, Sockets cost a large amount of time and effort to add making them feel unrewarding for the amount of effort one would invest. Being real the Maw has no decent rewards past the permanent torghast upgrades which should have been something attached to Torghast not the maw. In every respect the Maws gameplay is a failure of imagination. It is easy, empty and un-interesting.
So, will they make new items for the patch or are we just not able to get gems anymore?
When are they going to fire this guy.....
Yep, this much was obvious, but I still don't like it, since grinding the Maw to maximum reputation was the worst thing I have ever done in WoW. I hate this area. Trash tier content. I hope Blizzard will improve it.
Is there the same "technical issue" preventing them from making items that we bought earlier season 1 only?
I dont understand what i've grinding her rep for? Will they add just a S2 version of these things or what?

A better fix would be to create epic gems for season 2 that need a new type of socket, and let these continue to be used for rare gems.
