I loved Ashran (lol yeah) the early buggy version with zerg 40vs40 bridge stalemates, but i am really surprised seeing ppl still play it, because when i tried to que for Ashran couple of months ago, after 30-45 mins i got in, but got booted out because there was not enough ppl of opposite faction, tried couple of days later again - same thing
How are people getting into Ashran when I have to wait 4h and then gets booted out when it starts?
Ah, this was necro'd from 4 years ago. Why do that? I mean if it was a guide for old content we could actually *do* that'd be fine - but this content is 100% dead and we can't even do it if we wanted to.
The point of this series is to highlight interesting guides written by users, for content that is still active but not necessarily related to Legion. For example, last week's guide highlighted the Elekk Plushie - more WoD content. We think the guide is written and formatted well, as the post explains. Many Ashran achievements are moved to Feats of Strength in BFA so there is speculation Ashran is going away or changing in some form. It may be useful to have an Ashran guide bookmarked if Blizzard announces changes which then could lead to more interest.
I dunno about hated, it was pretty bad on certain melee specs, sure, but I still spent many, many hours in this place having some rather bonkers fun on ranged classes. Especially if your group had a good leader, or if you led it yourself.
Wait what, a guide for something that doesn't even work and nobody ever goes there?
I would like to thank the Wowhead staff. I did Ashran for the first time yesterday (I had the quest from my mission table, and put it off until now). The queue did take a while to pop, but it did. It was very confusing and I ended up bailing early. I didn't know about this guide, it definitely would have helped me.
I would do Ashran, but I can absolutely never ever get the queue to pop as an Oceanic player (as I'm not usually queueing at peak hours). I've asked about this a couple times to @warcraftdevs and Q&A but it never gets answered. I think it's unsatisfactory that there are missions for it but it's so hard to do. I vote for putting it into the same queue as AV and IoC and turning it into more of a battleground than an open-ended thing.e: and I enjoyed Ashran. I spent a lot of my (limited) WoD time in Ashran and got a lot of fun out of it. There were actually some good times in there.
You're all arguing about Ashran when the article is about how this guide's format works well. It's literally in the opening paragraph:
