Lost stygia after taking a portal, my toon didn't landed and falled into the void, bug ? yes, restored stygia ? nope.
Imagin' if every time you died you lost 10% of gold and had to run back to your corpse like this.
Unfortunately it is not possible to help you with this. It seems like almost every response to a ticket starts with that line. I swear it's a default reply because 90% of people just accept that and they can churn through and close more tickets faster. Of course they can refund the stygia but that would take longer then copying and pasting that and in turn a lower percent close rate.
Many of the comments are about why Blizzard wouldn't refund Stygia due to dying from a bug. The article doesn't claim that the player died to a bug, and neither does the original post from the link. If the player died for a legitimate reason, such as falling off into the Void, then this really is working as intended. Arguments about bugs working as intended are just misrepresenting the situation.
That area just sucks and must be removed from the game. It's worst zone ever created. I'm not sure what Blizzard is thinking, but game supposed to be fun, and that area is opposite of that. Also I had similar issue few days ago, i've fall from the cliff in the maw, died and it didn't spawn corpse to recover stygia AT ALL, i've searched for a while and corpse was no where to be found. In such case they should just spawn your stygia at graveyard where you resurrect or completely remove that retarded stygya loss on death mechanic because it makes no sense.
"we do not have the ability to restore any lost stygia" man Blizz CS is some bull!@#$. I've seen their character editor STOP LYING!
This should be fixed and the stygia refunded. A body should at least spawn someplace that is, in same way, accessible, even if it is difficult. The body is floating in midair. There's no way to retrieve it without dying again. That's not how this is supposed to work and Blizzard should fix it.
So true. You can pretty much expect a "No" to any ticket you open nowadays. I miss the times where they actually helped. Even if it was something small but mattered to you.
Then you've never played early versions Lineage 2 or any Souls like game.I do not defend the GM or Blizz, this is definitely a bug (because if it wasn't, there wouldn't be any ability to restore Stygia after falling from the cliffs) but sometimes I am surprised to see so many whine from players. Looks like kids are playing this game who are afraid of losing something. 3.8k is 3 days of farming, which is not difficult to restore, actually. Going back to L2, you could lose any item from your inventory after death from a mob, and ppl DID lose a lot of money, and nobody whined.
They will mostly only help you if there's nothing you can do about it. In this case, losing stygia is just setting you back a couple days of farm. Also, if they would do it for someone they would have to do it for everyone which would add a lot of work when they've been cutting down the numbers of gms.A bit the same reason I personnaly think why we can't have master loot again, because that increased the numbers of tickets. The whole "people abused it" is just a cover.
Game masters these days are generally very unhelpful, extremely hard to reach and work only as ban hammers and auto reply bots. I think this is more Activision Blizzard fault than their won, but the fact remains the same. For years you keep contacting them about game breaking issue. Do they fix it? No. Most they did was say they're sorry.
