Awesome lore! I didnt know about Garona Halforcen until now.
Your post makes The Wildhammer cry.And correct me if I'm wrong, but could the Horde Warrior set not allude to Grom himself, instead of Garrosh?
Thanks to everyone who wrote and compiled this. :) I really enjoyed reading it.Must say that it feels more awesome now to have some of the lock T9-items, when I know how über Gul'dan was.
Both the hunter and warrior sets could refer to two people. Heck, even the horde mage one could be about Anasterian Sunstrider, instead of Kael'thas. Here's the reasoning behind my choices:
Worth mentioning that Hamuul Runetotem is a member of the new Council of Tirisfal, as shown in the WoW comic. Adds some relevance, considering he's such a minor character aside from that. But man, poor Horde Priests. We easily have the most random character on our set. Poor Zabra appeared for a grand total of 2-3 pages in the Ashbringer comic. But there was no other choice, which got me wondering back when T9 came out. Why does the Horde have no noteworthy Priests? Although I guess Alliance Warlocks have it worse, having their set named after a character that wasn't even a Warlock...Great post nonetheless.
Thanks for the input (even though all you point out are the typos!), I fixed a few things, and Garona has a better picture now.I agree that it sucks to have Zabra Hexx as the Horde priest, but it is true that we have no famous ones. Neither does the Alliance have famous warlocks - although Kel'thuzad comes really close. I am pretty sure he was dabbling with fel magic as well as necromancy - perhaps using one to fuel the other. As for VanCleef, he is actually a pretty big deal. In terms of Lore and history, he has been giving Stormwind a lot of trouble... you know, despite the fact that any guard from the city could easily clear the entire Deadmines. It takes a certain set of mind to be able to think as an NPC, given only limited information...
The lore from this blog is overwhelming.Nice job.
*gasp*.. it all makes sense now!ARTHAS... IS... SANTA CLAUS!Have you ever seen the two together? No? Ever wonder why Santa lives in the North Pole? Or how he manages to teleport around the world on Christmas?
"to and fro" is a literary phrase that really means "to and from", but sounds more poetic :P
