TLDR.I call bull&*!@ on everything now. They come up with dumb twists and act like they intended it like that from the get go. The same as Mr. Nippleman being the source of everything... So lazy writing (or effortless?).Nah bro, you gotta try harder. JK Rowling all over again. You the reader were gay all along.
"Its roots" likely refers to the newly planted World Tree.
It feels like a rehash of the dropped story line of " what if the light was actually evil too"It seems serviceable but it's a story wow tells constantly starting from warcraft 3 onwards.
maybe "her" dreams are Tyrande's and the roots are referring to the new tree that has been planted

I've come up with a theory that these whispers are not predictions of our future, but rather N'Zoth reading predictions for his future. That means our past. I think he's sort of 'thinking out loud' and we're hearing him, and he's marking certain events to establish which truth (read: timeline) he currently exists in. The weakness for The Void is that they assume all 1000 Truths are valid. In the end, they can't understand which one they're in, which is what opens up their potential downfall. If N'zoth read us and had untold eons of history to understand, he could either identify what timeline he's in, or set into motion the events that lead to the 1 truth in a thousand where he wins. They're even in chronological order:Knowing Presence whispers: I... know you. What you were. What you will yet be. - This is him admitting that he's scanning us and identifying his future. Knowing Presence whispers: Deeper, deeper its roots will reach. Welcoming our embrace. - Many of the world trees have been corrupted in the past, but this could even be the Emerald Dream growing down to reach the Nightmare seeds that Yogg'Saron planted in the distant past.Knowing Presence whispers: With many eyes, they will see again. They will drink and be uplifted. - Keeping an eye on his kin, N'Zoth sees the events of Y'Shaarj's heart being dunked into the Vale's water to be resurrected again. The goat with 7 eyes will drink and rise.Knowing Presence whispers: You will follow him to the deep places. The dark waters will flow in his wake. - Weird that he would be speaking in the third person, sure, but this could be referring to himself. We followed his breadcrumb trail throughout BFA that lead to releasing him into the dark waters of Azeroth. Knowing Presence whispers: Her dreams sing beneath the surface. Our dreams. Our song. The first sentence is a -direct- quote from the Oracle in Zerith Mortis. It's not a coincidence, he's reciting her line from your memory and then corrupting it as he plans to corrupt Azeroth.tldr: For once, the "Whispers of the future" are only N'Zoth's future, we've already seen all of them come to fruition. His plans were drafted the day we showed up from the future. The scary thing is... If he has manipulated us into his 1 victorious timeline... That means he knows more about the future than we do. And that leads me to a theory I've been working on for a while."I alone can save you from what is to come." Another of N'Zoth's older whispers. The phrase is mimiced by The Jailer, whose last line references us not being able to stop "What is to come." N'Zoth knows what the Jailer knew... And I don't think it's The Void. (Why would N'Zoth protect us from The Void when he wants us all up in it?) It's not The Light, either, but that's closer. "The Light has struck a bargain with enemy of all." I believe "The Enemy of All" is also "What is to Come," and that it includes being the enemy of The Void. An enemy to the six cosmic forces of LIfe, Death, Chaos, Order, Light, and Void. The seventh force, cast from reality, as discussed by Al'Farim's books. I refer to this force as "Annihilation" or "Anti-Matter." I think it's currently represented by the mysterious blue alien creatures in Shadowlands. Their goal is the destruction of reality. The Void is a bit of a misnomer, and The Brokers call that realm "Shadow." A void implies pure emptiness, but we know that there are beings that dwell within the shadow realm. An old god can't exist in a realm of nothingness because that contradicts itself. Even The Shadow/Void has a manner of existence, and is just as much threatened by Annihilation as the other 5 pillars that form reality. Not only did N'Zoth architect his return, he is preparing us for the ultimate conflict against all of reality itself. (Granted, for very self-preservation reasons and without a drop of altruism, same as The Jailer). Sorry for the word wall this kind of got out of control.
