WoW and Alt Friendliness just doesn’t fit. They want actual alt friendliness then they should do:1- Make class switching on the same character (similar to ffxiv).2- Remove all armor types and make Armor & Stats Class/Spec based so the only thing you might potentially need to “start over” when playing a different class is farming Weapons/Trinkets ONLY.Other than that and especially after shadowlands I aint buying promises about “Alt Friendliness”
You shouldn't need to level up and gear up again and again every time you want to play a different class no matter how "fast" the process is. It's like you guys are completely blind to the fact that all these barriers and time consuming hoops you have to jump through to actually have an up-to-date alt and THEN start to actually play the game optimally. The only argument ya'll came up with is "go play ffxiv" as if wow didn't take design/directions from other mmos and improved them. But no lets stay where we are and keep complaining every expansion for the same issues. Back to the treadmill as always.
Leveling isn’t the chore most people make it out to be. Granted I only have a handful of alts but personally I’ve always enjoyed the leveling process, particularly questing. I think people get burned out when trying to power level by spamming the same dungeons over and over or doing the same quest areas because they are faster. Just take it slow and try to enjoy it.The real issue is gearing. The RNG involved is too great and the time investment necessary for getting your alt to be able to participate in the same level of content as your main, for example heroic raiding, is just too time prohibitive for most people. It is a real problem that warrants looking into and frankly the only real solution atm is simply doing lower level content, like LFR or normal, on your alts which has always been the status quo on WoW. The underlying issue there of course is the constantly shifting meta and so many people feeling pressured to keep up with it. That’s never been an issue for me because I simply don’t do anything in the game I don’t find fun but I can understand how it can be a real problem for more competitive players.
I already appreciated them attempting to be alt-friendly since I don't feel enough incentives to play any. However, just learning that Dragonriding will be account-bound and seeing it in action (even if it's fully upgraded) was really cool. I wonder how dismounting to fight is going to work. Still, I don't know why anybody would need three action bars. I would like to think that can be adjusted since that's what their UI is going for. Of course, there are being issues. I'm just glad Talisen actually discussed them instead of saying ,"I don't play this class/I don't expect to use this so, I don't see the issue." And as cheesy as he got, he was still more tolerable than the complaints.
why do these two get their videos promoted on wowhead when so many other wow content creators dont? I mean all any of them do is read to the viewer the article on wowhead that got published 2 days ago that anyone with a brain has already read themselves, but still.
