I definitely agree with the others in these comments saying this mechanic needs to be removed, or at least changed, it's just annoying on the higher floors because they have sooo much health, and as a blood dk, two of them will never kill me, but the health just makes the fight unneededly longer. make the mechanic something we have to watch out for during combat, not some extra mobs for no reason lol.
I swear in some instance, as soon as the group goes out of combat, the assassin pops up right away. Super annoying.
Honestly the worst mechanic I've experienced so far in all of Shadowlands which in itself I guess is good but doesn't make me hate this stupid torment any less.
haha ive been doing this since the first day i found out about that mechanic, it works so good, you just really need to watch your AOE. but as you get higher using AOE on some mobs is REALLY bad anyways, like when there are the skeletons with other mobs, you wanna kill everything else first, cause the debuff skeletons put on you really hurts when getting smacked by other mobs.but the strat works fantastic
Personally I just CC the spawn instead.
Make it so once it spawns on you once, it won't spawn again until you do enter combat. That way you can kill it once and then go afk.Or make it like the Maw where it spawns on you when you next enter combat, instead of while you are not in combat. That also makes it more consistent and less random and still lets you go AFK if needed. Though disable that when fighting the end bosses perhaps. Or make the spawned mob much weaker.
CC one and pull the other away to kill and then keep moving as normal. You only have to monitor the cc on one mob that can take more accidental AOE than a mawrat, and once the CC breaks it'll either despawn or find you (depends on how fast you're going) and you just... CC it again and keep going. The higher health pool has a higher margin for error if you miss it getting in range.
