How is it definitive if everything in it is subject to a clause that says you can't actually use any of the information to support anything because it's all written by an unreliable narrator? What's the point? It's just a glorified art book.
"The Definitive Guide to Dragons Until We Reton It Later"The last fancy, expensive "definitive guide" became a whole lot less definitive when they retconned it all as "Titan propaganda."And I notice they refer to Deathwing's armor plating as adamantium. Adamantium is what Wolverine's skeleton and claws are coated with. It's a material in the Marvel universe like vibranium. Adamantine is the metal in WarCraft that makes up DW's armor plating, among other things. Adamantium does not exist in WarCraft.Nice catch there, copy editor! It's like the crappy, rushed QA in the game has bled over to the books.
Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.
Some of the illustrations are so insanely poorly cropped, feels like they were photoshoped in
Shame it kind of hurts to read the previews. At they look very nice, and I'll have a reason to redownload the free version of Kindle (if they still have it.)
Afro Kalec?
didnt they just say how they handle inconsistencies in their narrative writting and then they turn around and release this "definitive" lore book? especially after what they did with chronicles?yea no i dont believe its actually definitive. give it a few years, gonna retcon their lore book again
Yeah... I'm not buying a book that outright tells me the contents of the book don't actually mean anything in the long term.Let alone in the first sentence of the book.
Eww, dracthyr. Why are these ugly lizards included in a book about dragons? Can we forget these ugly abominations exist?
I reckon this is for funding for yet another workplace harassment lawsuit, which hasn’t hit the headlines yet…
Looking forward to it, love these grimoires
So this is why Khadgar, not was random much in the new Xpack... he was researching and writing this book!
Thats cool and all, but everyone knows that what ever lore they shove in here will be retconned in 5 years time
"Please peruse "notable antiquities of ancient azeroth""I hope that's a real book they plan to make, too. Always wanted a book that compiles all the artifact weapon, legendary weapon/armour lore and other mcguffins into one encyclopediaThough, excited as I am, it is disappointing to see the lore contradicting itself even in these previews
