Hope they remove both playable paladin tauren and priests, they look too goofy.
These NPCs must tied to the developing, (yet seemingly forgotten,) events unfolding on Draenor. Where the light, is being forced into souls as an indoctrination against their will. Mayhaps, these are tied to that arc somehow.
Praise Blizz for seeing the Light!Really, speaking to them as Brother/Sister is just ... wrong.Let the Orcs of Orgrimmar learn from their Mag'har cousins and deepen the lore of this special branch of priesthood a bit more. Maybe not the light, but the guidance by their ancestors, or the stars of Draenor ... Of course lorewise even the Mag'har could have taken over the worship of the Light in a more balanced way through the Draenei before the latters became fanatics, but frankly, they deserve something ... more wild. Everyone will be happier this way.
Dont see a problem with it. Tauren and Orcs have been around humans long enough to pick up on their religion. Besides many of them are members of the Argent Crusade, Argent Dawn, Brotherhood of the Light, and so on and so forth. The groundwork is there for them to be practitioners of the Church of the Holy Light. Hell Thrall himself was probably taught it at some point.
No-fun, stingy Blizzard strikes again
Honestly... the idea of an Orc Priest named "brother Shineblade" that carries a light infused rapier is really funny. Because it just screams "Zealous convert that will stab you if you even seem to be shadow/void aligned".
Sister Brighttusk -> Lightseer BrighttuskBrother Lighthoof -> Sunbringer LighthoofBrother Shineblade -> Devotee ShinebladeJust some title suggestions that I feel would suit them better. Brother/Sister suits the classic human and dwarf Holy light version of priests and paladins more than other groups. If the orcs titles should end up mirroring some other races I feel a mix of troll and draenei would suit them better thanks to the closer cultural similarities and shared shamanistic roots (seers, witch doctors, etc for trolls) and a shared history on Draenor where some titles may have crossed cultures such as Vindicator or Anchorite.
Am I really the weird one because I think it's better to work within the boundaries of what a class is, instead of inventing new things (like sun druids that act nothing like druids) that aren't <class> but that serve as <class> for particular race? I mean. Priests and paladins aren't even remotely hard to do this with, all of the main races have members in the Argent Crusade--an organization that believes in the Church of The Holy Light. We don't need a thousand new pieces of lore to explain one of the objective easiest classes to do this with.Remember, not every member of a culture has to follow the culturally dominant religion (in fact this is why everyone wanted troll paladins--the Freethinkers. Who were celebrated despite being heretics).
Lighthoof and Brighttusk feel human?...I didn't think humans had either of those. I get it from a lore standpoint because then they definitely don't fit.
Can we just have every race/class option available?Who seriously care at this point? And delete racials while at it.
Slow news day?
Savage horde just can't understand the purity of the Light in the way the civilized and respectable Alliance does. They must stick to their tribal beliefs! I guess...
