so... I'm going to stick with my original date that I came up with....WoD release: Tuesday June 24th 2014.
I'm really not sure how much longer they will be able to push off WoD, they have been hemorrhaging subs and with the release of ESO and Wildstar (along with multiple other games), I'm not sure they can afford the major drop in sub loss that will happen with zero PvE content since the 5.4 patch and even that really wasn't much "content".
I feel that all the character services are way overpriced. $10 to change only the LOOK of your character? I think every battle.net account should get 1 of each service for free. I mean, when I started WoW, I made a gnome mage with a really dumb name on a dead server. And once I actually got into the game I was stuck there! So I'm already paying $15 to play, and now they want me to pay close to $50 to realm and race change. I don't know what your income is, but on most peoples, that's a lot of money for a visual change to my game. I think all services should be no more than $10. Yes, there will be a few people who just buy the services without a thought, but there will but a much larger amount of people who are now satisfied with their race and realm and don't feel they are spending more than they can afford on a game.
Even if they just put in some dungeons. I think they thought scenarios would make casuals happy, and they dont. Stick with 5 man dungeons, and put a couple out every content patch like before, that keeps people who dont raid somewhat busy, yes they will get sick of them, but we all get sick of the content after a while, but I feel scenarios got old REAL fast, like 2 or 3 times in one
I would not expect it that soon. GameStop is not even taking reserves on it yet, they tend not to release expacs until Sept-Oct of any given year. That, coupled with the fact that they have all of the programming to do for the item squish, character models, player fort/housing, new zones, etc. I do not expect it until the Fall.
The last thing I want is for them to rush WoD just to get subs. We've seen what happens with rushed games from other companies and projects, WoD would fail if it was pushed to get numbers back up.I really feel like they need a bridge for this expansion because right now we have no idea what's going on and are happily flying around Azeroth taking care of things after Garrosh. The zombie event for Wrath was a good bridge, we need something like that or a mini lore update to keep things interesting.
