Ok, so I would agree that Teldrassil and Dezar'alor aren't totally equivalent, but lets take a minute to remember that the city is filled with civilians and not just warriors. There are also fishermen, children, priests and the poor. The Alliance comes into a Dazar'alor that is barely being held together after the events of Zul's betrayal and the breaking of the seal. At this point the Zandalari haven't even declared for the Horde (despite its heroes bending over backwards killing things like evil advisers, a blood god and zombie loa). So, IMO it's not "Awww the Alliance only gets to kill a couple of trolls!"I'd argue it's "The Alliance gets to destabilize one of the oldest civilizations on Azeroth, murder a king that is 200 years old, leave his daughter orphaned and suddenly in charge of a kingdom that is ripping at the seems, and cause the Zandalari to seek vengeance and look to the Horde for aid." Seems a bit more 'fair' when you consider the latter. Also I think the Night Elves are going to get a bit of vengeance in Darkshore so...there's always that.
Eight years of Alliance bias....horde losing warchiefs. Siege of Orgrimmar. Alliance always winning as good guys. Everything ok.One expansion where they lose one city before they start winning again. And they cry like children.Alliance and it's finest.
"The comic is a possible future"Yes, it means we're not doomed to have Anduin forever. Now, let's make him a raidboss, so we can put out of this Medan-tier character. As for all those who whine about balance. The NE at most lost some captain-tier characters, while the Horde lost one of the most lore heavy trolls, being hinted to even back in vanilla. And as a cherry on top, the Horde also lost Saurfang, who is now an open traitor... Yeah, such bias /s
I honestly hope there will be 1 or maybe 2 more WoW expansions (because let's be serious, they'll either come up with something that makes sense or more WoD or BfA bs just to stretch things). I could see WCIV being about Light vs Shadow, and I think they could make something great out of it.
didnt know ppl can be so immature xd If winning is the only thing you care then go look for good stories in kid books. And you wonder why developers dont listen to players and treat them as if they were dumb enough to not know which side of knife to grab.
And here I thought Undercity being destroyed (No matter by what side) counted as loss for the Horde? I mean, the Alliance pretty much had the city overrun before Ms. Morale blew the self destruct button?
People making the assumption that "only" Dazar'Alor = Teldrassil... When they forget bout Undercity. It's a capital AND a faction leader in a row. It's making even for me.
Guys... look... there isn’t going to be a gritty, evil, atrocious receipt to Teldrassil. The siege of Lordaeron, battle of Dazar’Alor and Terror of Darkshore are as far as it’s going to go because the alliance sales pitch is the traditional fantasy hero faction. It is what it is. The horde doesn’t make that promise to its players so it can be bent far enough to have Sylvanas perpetrate Teldrassil to create a dual-faction atrocity. The horde receipt to The burning of teldrassil... Was the burning of Teldrassil. That’s why you saw horde players losing their minds for the 3-4 days between warbringer and old soldier. Players playing as cast were/are with Saurfang. The alliance lost a city, the horde lost their soul. You weren’t supposed to like the burning of Teldrassil as horde. You as a player can of course view it differently, but that’s how the horde is cast here. Yes it’s god-moding, welcome to WoW, this has been their vehicle for a decade and a half.

I really can’t wait for the faction wall to dissolve. This has been a fun little social experiment but it was naive to think “Declare your alliegiance” or “it matters” would end well in a modern gaming community. The alliance starting out with the visible, emotional loss only cemented that the “alliance victory” will be peace. There will be concessions to appease the horde, I expect that to be Kalimdor, and PvP will mechanically continue in a less-canon fashion (just like we still farm old raids for transmog/mounts), but this is the story that ends the wall between players, and thank goodness for that. The internet gaming community can’t be trusted with civility or nuance, it’s time to point all of us at cosmic threats and let “court intrigue” happen as a side story.
