Was I the only one who knew then a Spiteful was on me without having to target any?Am I the only one using nameplates with threat status? Was I the only one who knew if a spiteful was on me based on a name plate that turns red if I had aggro or green if they were on somebody else?.Jokes aside, we always knew if a spiteful was on us.
the debuff isnt new. it was there previously already. about the melee range: i felt the same yesterday and the rest of my group aswell. looks like it wasnt just us
When a mob dies it should shoot out a bolt of a ‘sin’, spawning the add in a random location within 15 yards. There should be a swirl on the ground for 1 second so people have time to react. That would fix a lot of issues for melee and also stop it being so easy to avoid for range. The reason it is such a problem for melee is because they spawn right where the mob dies and it doesn’t give them time to react.
This affix is not that bad, even for melee. And yes it can be avoided, etc. but...The main point here is the DPS loss for melee kiting, stuning, etc. when ranged have more time to deal with it.its just a 30mins to 1hr minimum waiting to find a group, because ranged gets the preference. Again not a player (melee, ranged) fault, just bad design.Make the ghosts spawn on the player (ranged included) instead of the mob. That makes the chances equal to everybody.
Spiteful should get some enrage buff where they do increased dmg based on their missing health. So you dont get ^&*!in 20k+ hit by one each autoattack when they spawn on top of you as melee.
This is seriously my least liked affix. I'm a healer and I've become accustomed to not standing in melee anyway. But having to kite around like some GD kangaroo while trying to heal and getting stretch-armstrong'd in the face regardless is completely annoying. Plus the way it potentially ruins trying to drink between pulls since it keeps us in combat.I haven't run a key yet this week, but I'm hoping those shady #$%^s have raptor arms now.
I did a +15 earlier, and I legit forgot about Spiteful. I had only done it one time prior to this, so I wasn't very accustomed to it. I didn't have enough corruption to deal with it that much in BfA, so I didn't have a honed fight or flight response. So, as a warrior, when I got my face pushed in right away, I was like "Oh right, THAT is what this is". The group got a good laugh at my expense, but I never died to it again that run thankfully. I can confirm that the range of their attack is pretty short though; I only ever saw them hit me when they were standing still, which implies they have to basically be right up on you. Also because they move pretty quick when I forget to use Piercing Howl to slow em, and they were right on my butt at times yet never hit me.Could do without this affix though. Punishing melee for no reason is unfair.
I found that as a warrior i could hit them with my melee attacks while also not getting hit by them, just have to be at the max range possible.
did people not know that shades were bright red when they chase you and just normal not bright red when they didnt chase you?
so they haven't removed this affix yet
