Didn't we have this problem in Legion and Blizzard fixed it by having things like tier cloaks etc?Why does Blizzard seem like it forgets every lesson it learns in previous patches.
I play on a very low pop server, baseline legendaries are 400-500K + It's actually cheaper to level it yourself than buy from someone else. They really need to get a grasp on this. If it wasn't for the fact i've been doing boost sales the last 5-6 months I would never be able to afford a lego base piece.It's actually cheaper to buy a lego on a different server and then transfer the toon. They should have rank 4 patterns available from a vendor a VERY low gold price. Then give crafters the chance to upgrade straight away to rank 7 in the new patch.
If they could add another option for the legendaries that had a similar conflit in 9.1 with domination gear I think they could do the same now, couldn't they?

How about Blizzard get off their arses and make legends craftable in any slot,,, as it shouldve been from the start
You forgot to add Arcane Harmony (for Kyrian arcane mages) and Primal Tide Core (for restoration shamans in raids).
I understand the frustration and this is just the latest example of SL’s dozens of systems clashing with each other to the detriment of players, however, all set bonuses require only 4 pieces equipped and sets have historically always had more than 4 pieces making them up.So, yes, it’s an inconvenience if you get a set pieces in a slot you have a legendary but you’re not “locked” out of using either. You just need to get the right piece. This is no different than it was in Legion. Any time you have legendaries in different slots this is going to be a problem which is why all legendaries should have options for accessory slots (jewelry, back, belt) but you know… small indie company. They can’t think of everything, kek! Although to be fair, in this particular case they didn’t think this would be a problem because they had no intention of bringing back tier sets but where forced to and every time they do something they didn’t want to they always half-ass it.
I was really hoping there would be a blue post addressing the high costs of the legendary base items. Maybe its not all realms, but on many of them base items are super pricey. Wish they would change the material cost so crafters dont need to charge such high prices
This is such a stupid thing to complain about. You're going to want to craft a legendary in a high stat slot like chest legs or helm anyway. And your other 4 tier slot pieces are still going to be available.
Hype to loot the wrong tier pieces and recraft legendaries... again. Nice.
Perhaps and easy solution would be to make the conflicting legendary slots considered a tier piece. So although players will start with 1/5 counted towards the tier bonus, they wouldnt feel compelled to recraft
5 set pieces, pick the 4 that aren't taken up by your legendary.
Sorry but what is the problem? you craft the restricted legendary on the one slot where you have no tier set, and then craft the covenant leggo on another main stat budget gear piece (eg. restricted leggo on shoulder, covenant leggo on feet) and u still get good budget pieces and tier set. Am i missing something? Of course you might need to recraft your legendary in a different slot based on what you drop, but so what?
You need 4 pieces to activate the setbonuses. It was the exact same in legion too where you needed specific pieces because of legendaries. When creation catalyst goes into play, everyone and their grandmothers will have the optimal 4 slots filled with tier + their bis legendaries. If you have to use nonoptimal pieces or even a legendary until that, big deal. I think there are positive aspects of the game that are lost when everyone are given access to the optimal gear at any given time.
