Hasn't all of this been in place since at least pre-patch phase 2? Also I need to find a guide to the new profession stats like deftness because my druid is picking herbs a lot slower than she did before the adjustment.
There's no point in reducing the values. Sure, x race can craft that item somewhat earlier, and has a slightly higher chance at getting a bonus. Cool, that's how it should be. Dark Iron Dwarves, for example, are the epitome of master blacksmiths, and they have every right to be better than the riff raff that takes up a hammer. NOBODY can craft like them, period. Harshly nerfing their skill takes away from their race fantasy. Sure, we'd probably have trade chat going "lf dark iron blacksmith at max rank to craft item, have mats" as well as horde complaining about how unfair it is, but it's not like these DF profession changes would've caused Dark Iron Dwarves to be the only correct choice. It'd just mean they craft faster, be able to probably make better equipment earlier, and have a marginally better chance at not getting a lower rank. It wasn't unbalanced, and it didn't need nerfing at all. Those stat boosts only "matter" for the first day or so of the expansion when everyone's in a mad rush to see whose poop pan under their gaming chair fills first. I for one won't fill my poop pan this time. It's a relatively pointless thing to complain over as well, and I'm very much aware of that, but the devs are doing arbitrary nonsense right before launch for absolutely no reason at times like this. This kind of change should only happen after an exploit occurs or something.
I don't like this at all, way to destroy racials and make alts even more useless... Blizz needs to stop with their useless nerf agenda for no reason nerfing things left and right.
Feels like crafter racials got smacked compared to gathering ones. Both get plus 5(which is fine) but gathering getting to be faster at something on top of that. It would probably feel less bad if Dark Iron didn't set a precedent that crafting racials can be plus 5 and have a speed bonus attached.
I guess I should have paid more attention to the changes before leveling a pile of new alts over the past few weeks… I still would have done some of them, but a few probably weren’t worth the extra effort now. Oh, well XD
I'd rather we have no racials at all, remove all parameters of choosing a race but the looks/animations.
remove all these useless racials and make 3-5 impactfull ones.
thank god they nerfed dark iron dwarves crafting speed. that was seriously destroying the crafting speed meta
Nerfing profession stats so they can validate their new profession system is dumb. Also, I find it quite rude to publish it 2 days before the start of the new expansion.
Blizzard. Blizzard never changes. It is still uncaring and showers you with snow that slowly slides along your back.Blizzard spends so much money on advertising and commercials with Hollywood stars. All those twitter posts "Can't wait! Are you excited? I am pissing myself due to excitement! Only 3 days left!" "The expansion will be so awesome!" Meanwhile, people are waiting for a response to their tickets for weeks and a month even.Buy the anniversary pack! Buy the 12-month subscription deal! Buy all those mounts for real money (they should be available in the game in exchange for moderate effort. TotalBiscuit said it right about TRH).And now this... Instead of fixing massive bugs (half the quests in Korrak's Revenge were bugged including the quest that awards the mount and still are, some people had to redo it twice) they spit in my face. I was preparing my alts for the new expansion keeping in mind these racials. They are the defining trait for me because for SOME REASON I cannot have two crafting professions and all the gathering professions on my main. I have to juggle alts.Well, I was mildly apprehensive about the new expansion but Dragonblight (the right name) seems like shaping up just like another money grab that will be fixed by the end of its lifetime.
My question about the deftness thing would be if there is an enchant that buffs it and does that stack with the racial? Or is the racial basically just a free enchant?
